I’ve been a local for almost 21 years, living within walking distance of this shop. As a Reiki therapist and full-time carer for a family member, I often take my therapy dog for a walk and stop by to support local businesses, including purchasing dog bones as a small treat. Though the price has never matched the portion size, I’ve never complained because it’s for my therapy dog.
However, today was disappointing. A staff member who has seen me before greeted me, and after a brief exchange, he retrieved the bones from the back. Unfortunately, before I even left the store, I overheard him making unprofessional remarks about me to another worker. As someone experienced in energy work and reading body language, I could sense the lack of authenticity and respect.
It’s disheartening to support a business that engages in unprofessional behavior, especially gossiping about customers within earshot. This will be my last visit. I choose to spend my money where professionalism, respect, and basic common courtesy are upheld. Wishing you all the best, but I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
