There’s always a first & this would have to be a first for me. I’ll start off by trying to be positive; My initial impression was good even though I had to wait a while to be served and it was empty. I ordered their spicy margarita & it certainly didn’t disappoint. Their fish cakes were nothing special, extremely chewy. I had a green chicken curry; again nothing special and extremely watery. If ‘big is best’ what you’re looking for then their serves are large but just very mediocre dishes. I finished off with another margarita as the first one was great. My second margarita turned up in the same glass but absolutely over flowing with ice. So much so I had to take 5 cubes out in order to drink it without a straw and the ice going everywhere. The margaritas were served in a large ‘low ball glass. (Just to give you the picture) I had only three mouthfuls of the second and it was finished! It’s pretty obvious to say where the rest of my cocktail remained as my glass was full of ice & NOTHING like my first Margarita. The owner/manager took all the overflow of ice away that I left on the plate & when we discussed the drink she point blank refused to acknowledge that there was any less cocktail in the glass than my original cocktail. With her voice raised I said I’m not getting into an argument with you because you are making absolutely no sense but I’m happy to pay half price. Well, she went off saying she’d call the police. ‘Fine call the police but if this is how you make your money?’ ……. She yelled over me saying YES! I rest my case. The bill was $81 & even before the debacle I would return not recommend. The amount of fabulous places to eat in Newcastle is well worth the drive & you don’t have to deal with a down right rude, egotistical manager/owner that freely admits to making money by trying to make fools out of her customers? Oh, & even their speciality fish dishes (barramundi, salmon etc - all frozen) For a fabulous dine - Take yourselves to Mizumi Japanese in Toronto where the food is outstandingly fresh & the service is...
Read moreA fantastic meal, enjoyed by everyone in my family during our visit, even with Covid restrictions we had a fantastic meal and evening. My only criticism it probably with the music.
While we enjoyed "Simon & Garfunkel - The Boxer" for the first 10-15 minutes, after we noticed it seemed not to end and we were correct, the song was apparently on repeat.
The food arrived We got dinner and a show ! with the local HWP unit booking people while we watched from above on the balcony of the seemingly never ending queue of people up for tickets parking in the "no stopping" and "bus zone" while people lazily parked and just "zipping over" for food" pickups.
One even parked behind the cops with his lights on, in a no parking zone while the cop was wiriting a ticket for the person infront. He also got a ticket as the cops grinned and walked back to him after finishing ticketing the one infront.
To close out my experience it was great and I'd like to end it with this.
Since you'll probably think and feel the same after a visit.

Read moreSorry to be a downer: The service was poor, though the staff were sweet! The oven broke before our pizza was made- after 45 min of waiting for the last dish the other 2 had been served, only when I asked about the pizza were we told that the oven was broken! As soon as the pizza wasn’t going to be ready with the other dishes we should have been told.it was really embarrassing as the pizza was for our guest. The ribs were nice, but only came with chips, no salad or veg. The ravioli sauce was tasteless and had cubes of feta on it. I don’t think the restaurant has a manager, staff not skilled and your recipes need reviewing. We actually live near Gladesville and was thinking of trying CN there. But don’t think so, now.
Sorry, just my...
