A Caucasian male staff was discriminately rude and bias towards individuals with colour because I ordered 1x Loukoumades which took so long because the 4x people behind me got there bag full of food first than a single simple order than should’ve been made in less than 10min. additionally, he was displaying a blatant aggressive verbal behaviour towards customer of colour, because he was becoming verbally aggressive when I ask for a disposable utensils to use for my takeaway, and he verbally got aggressive which was witness by many people behind me who are eating. The female staff also look uncomfortable around him, cuz they all look shocked, unhappy, giving a hostile and unwelcoming atmosphere. I recommend to be respectful towards customers and their needs because if you do not have the (values) passion or empathy customer then leave, go resign or go somewhere else where you can display that behaviour. Do not work in a people oriented where your arrogant, discriminatory, and stereotypical attitude is hurting towards other people because this country is a nation enrich with multiculturalism. As for environmental issues, they have to use better ceiling fan to dispel the smoke spreading in the restaurant, it’s so harmful to breath this in a constricted environment if you don’t have better air conditioning system. Another thing, I highly recommend staff to wear aprons, hair nets and gloves for food handling, hygiene and safety because they do not wear any of the above. I even found a brown/black strand of hair in my food which I had to pick off by my hand. I wish I had a photo because I was disgusted to see it. Also, if you know that leaving the door open will attract flies and insect into your restaurant. Please close the door because it’s unhygienic to leave the door open where flies are contaminating the food and hygiene of the place. This restaurant require inspection because of minor issues which could potentially lead to major breach if the Australian Food Act Guidelines is not the centred of...
Read moreZeus Street Greek Hamilton saved my life
I've been in a dark place—struggling to find where I belong in this chaotic society. Every day, I’d twist and contort my personality just to fit in, only to end up feeling like a stranger in my own skin.
To make things worse, I’ve been taking my frustration out at home. I’d come home from work and just run in circles around the living room, screaming at the heavens like a Greek tragedy on fast-forward. I yelled so much, even my fish stopped making eye contact. They no longer want to be friends with me. I was at my breaking point—physically drained, emotionally torn, like Zeus after his showdown with Typhon (but with less lightning and more crying in the shower).
I wanted to become a ghost.
Then I found this silly little Greek store.
The moment I walked into Zeus Street Greek Hamilton, I was met with warmth, friendly energy, and an aesthetic menu that looked like it belonged in a museum of good vibes. The store's quirky location only made it more charming—it felt like it didn’t need to try to fit in. It just was.
I was served by Tessa and Daphne, who delivered top-tier customer service, guiding me through the menu like Greek goddesses of hospitality. They recommended the Tzinger—a unique meal I’d never tried before but was ready to risk everything for.
After my first bite, I laughed. Like, actually laughed. Not a “haha” but a full-body, slightly unhinged laugh—the kind that catches you off guard and fills your lungs with something other than despair. The textures, the flavour, the perfectly grilled chicken and creamy sauce—it was like a divine slap from Mount Olympus.
And in that moment, something clicked. Maybe I can’t change the world. Maybe I can’t change myself overnight. But maybe that’s okay.
Moral of the story: Don’t always rush to bend in the ways society wants you to. Because if this silly little pita can be delicious just the way it is, then maybe—just...
Read moreWent to this place for dinner today and the food was delicious. We ordered the fries which was seasoned in herbs and salt and got the vegan spicy mayo dip with it. It was so delicious we ended up ordering another round of fries and this time, we got the spicy feta dip which was also good. We also got the pita bread with eggplant dip - the bread was served hot and buttered and the eggplant dip was seasoned well and was refreshing. The herbs added a nice touch to it as well. Also ended up getting 4 wraps - 3 Hades chicken wraps which had a thick yet soft bread, tender bits of chicken and filling which were very nice. I’m also very iffy about eating pork at restaurants because some of them don’t cook them well but I tried the pork wrap as well and the meat was super tender and flavourful which really took me back by surprise in a pleasant way. Ended with some Loukamaldes (sure im spelling it wrong) which was a fried dough like dessert and we got it with honey and walnuts. There were 10 generous balls served and we ate all of it and ordered another plateful because they were so good 🤗 The ambience was clean and pleasant with a good selection of music. Also the interiors were kept clean which gives this place bonus points in my book. The staff were very patient and friendly as well. Definitely...
