Dined here the other night spontaneously and without a booking and was seated on the outdoor benches at the front. The place wasn’t dead and it was getting on a bit - around 8/9pm. There were perhaps two other tables finishing off food and drinks too. We ordered 1 starter and 1 main to share between the two of us, which we found was plenty! The pizzas are a good size and definitely enough for 2 people.
The starter was Anchovy Tartine & the pizza we shared was Picante Eddy. The starter was delicious - the perfect combo of saltiness from the anchovy and creamy mildness from the buffalo & gremolata. The starter was 15 dollars which was slightly pricier than some of the others on there and consisted of two pieces of baked bread. It was probably quite a heavy starter to have before a bread-based main.
The pizza was also good - it had salami, fior di latte & peppers. The menu also described it as having habanero honey and parmesan though unfortunately these flavours were not identifiable upon eating it. The Fior Di Latte in my opinion may not be the best choice for this pizza due to the mildness/milkiness that it brings. For a hot pizza, we were hoping for something with a little more oomph. We threw some salt and pepper on which improved the taste slightly and I’d certainly recommend ordering a dipping sauce too perhaps? Just to add a little flavour. In terms of how it was cooked and presented, it was to a high standard. You cannot beat a proper wood fired pizza. The base was crispy and not too thick!
Overall though, the service & food was good. The waitress was super kind and friendly and beers / food came out as quickly as they went in! Would return to try another of their...
Read moreOn first appearances it may be hard to choose your new favourite dining experience from the line up of great food joints in Noosa Junction, but Somedays Pizza shoots to the top of the list.
I prebooked after learning that it was a “Woodfired pizza” place and that it had been booked out every night after opening.
I walked in with my wife and 2 kids and was immediately greeted by a friendly staff member and the smell of fresh baked Woodfired pizza. It was only 6:30pm but the restaurant fillied up very quickly.
We order the Somedays, The Gambarro and a kids pizza. They were absolutely amazing and the flavours worked exceptionally well together.
The pork sausage pairing with the fennel, red onion and provolone piccante was mouth watering and we had a very hard time choosing a winner between that and the Gambarro, topped with Mooloolaba prawns, zucchini, chilli, garlic and ricotta.
That’s just the toppings! The bases had all the wood fired goodness you’d expect with a thick outta crust and deliciously chewy centre.
By the end of dinner we were trying to figure out how soon we could return!
Don’t spend your night working out where you’re having dinner tonight, Somedays Pizza will not disappoint. This place is perfect for catching up with your mates, dinner with the fam...
Read moreWas really excited to try this place after hearing other people's feedback however these people obviously don't know a good pizza. I didn't enjoy it at all. The crust was so doey and chewy...the texture was weird really and the actual base was paper thin and soggy and what limited topping you do get on the pizza just slid off and you basically have to fold the pizza to eat. Toppings as mentioned were very limited and very bland to the point all three completely different pizzas we ate all tasted the same... Like nothing. We ordered the $40 purple haze pizza with truffles and I've eaten plenty of truffle before and I could not taste truffle or smell the truffle at all and it was very soggy. Sacrilege to truffles really. My opinion, it's not worth the price. We left hungry and unsatisfied. Also tool forever for a pizzas to come out. The $18 cocktail I ordered just looked like a glass of juice and tasted like it too. Nothing to jazz it up or make it worth $18. Definitely not what I consider a cocktail. I didn't find the staff friendly either. More arrogant and after reading a review underneath, by the response that person got from the restaurant, basically saying they are the problem, it clearly...
