My family and I came here looking for a good meal, all we got was disappointment.
Daughter had a parmi - was beaten so thin they had to put a layer of breadcrumbs through the middle of it. Never seen this before in my life! Why put a layer of crumb in the middle of the chicken??? and it lacked any flavour. My other daughter got a burger that was absolutely tasteless, the bun was soggy and the meat patty was dry. Got one of the salads with added beef, but when we got it, there was barely any meat in it. The fish and chips were boring but at the very least they were cooked.
Don’t know why people are talking about the staff in their reviews, we barely saw them.
Not to mention the ludicrously expensive prices for subpar, lacklustre, dated pub meals that were acceptable 20 years ago, but they aren’t anymore. Haven’t we moved on from this?
We never leave reviews; if we don’t like a place, we just don’t go back, but this was just so bad we couldn’t let it go. Honestly, it was that bad.

Read moreWent in on a rainy Tuesday for lunch with the folks. Upon entering it was very clear that customer service here was going to be top notch. A welcome so warm I broke a sweat, good recommendations on drinks before we ordered food. I got the Chicken bacon sandwich on the lunch specials and can I say - Chicken grilled to perfection - charcoal flavour, still moist - turkish lightly toasted on the inside to melt the butter and give a crunch that would make a pringle jealous. Perfect amount of sauce and THE CHICKEN SALT on my chips. Mate. How many times can I use perfect in a review? Its clear that I'll be heading back, but if you haven't been here yet, surely this is a good reason to. 4 Pines...
Read moreGood fitout and exceptional location. Friendly staff - all was looking good at 12:00 on Tuesday. Didn't buy any food as we left after the first beer. The two beers we had were horrific, flat and tasteless. They desperately need a half competent cellar manager. Also, they do not appear to use proper schooner sizes (375 ml of beer and 50 ml of froth), I'm guessing more like 350 ml and zero froth.
Went back on Friday 7Mar25 Wow, $11 for a half decent beer and $12 for a bog stranded white wine. The beer was a copy of Noosa Heads Japanese Lager. The place was empty, as it should be, this company is incompetent - it's garbage...
