The food was utterly delicious. We were having a very rare night out (in these frugal times!) and treated ourselves to a meal and a show. Mr Drifter had an appealing menu, a bit different from the usual fare, and the space was inviting and playing good music - always a winner for us. We sat on the front bench table to ‘people watch’ at around 5.30pm, and were served ice-cold craft beer (Blackflag ‘middys’ from Coolum) and dish after tasty dish. Deep flavours, fresh ingredients and local fish, pickled veggies, crunchy slaw, and creamy curries with just enough kick. (Some of our choices: City Fried Chicken with Gochujang Caramel, Kewpie and Lime, Kadai Pakistan Chicken Curry, with roti and rice, and Market Fish Green Curry (Barramundi) - Balinese Marinade Green Curry, Coconut and Chilli Chutney) We sat in the afterglow of a great meal, satiated and happy, as the bistro lights festooned along the pathway and through the trees came on and the well dressed folk of Noosa turned out for our viewing pleasure! 😀 (Felt very European, especially with people sporadically zipping about on Vespas in stylish attire!) We actually brought in two different sets of customers who were pursuing the menu outside, thanks to our rave and honest review as we sat there. A great venue with fantastic food - we will be back! (Cost around $60 per head not including beer - we thought it was worth every penny for the food, service and atmosphere.)

A gem in the heart of Noosa. We went in for dinner on Saturday and this place was buzzing. The drinks are fantastic, as is the food but the reason to write this review is the Drifter Rolls. Absolutely amazing Indian kulcha bases used for the roles with some savoury filling. Thoroughly enjoyed the food and the flavour. We ordered the Teriyaki Eggplant and the Pakistani chicken Drifter roll (see images and devoured them as we would a soft shell taco. Infact this innovative food gives the legendary taco a run for it's money. You won't regret trying this out. Oh and the staff was great and the ambience was vibing. Good experience.

You cannot book a table, walk-ins only. Busy place and good vibe. The menu is very small with a Vietnamese focus. Only 6 options to choose from: Ban mi, rice paper rolls, Som Tam, siu mai, pho and one other salad. Would have preferred more options. The siu mai was delicious. The sauce they serve with it is delicious too. The Som Tam was a bit spicy but not too bad. Service is good. The ume-tini cocktail was flipping delicious and I'd go back for that. My husbandhad the bloody Mary cocktailwhich was spicier then the Som Tam and a huge glass size. Its a place you can go for a quick bite to eat and/or a good option for drinks.

Not a glowing recommendation...these are the words that our guests spoke upon the end of their first dining experience and it is our third and last dining experience at Mr Drifter. In brief, booked for early sitting, arrived on time, second table occupied - or should we say high narrow bench for a group, not comfortable nor practical when food and drinks are added - empty tables nearby were not used for our entire stay? - entree arrived promptly but was very dry ( pakoras) or loose and disintegrated ( rice paper rolls) - main meals took 75 minutes to appear, despite requests to follow up - lots of wait staff walking about empty handed or chatting to each other at the bar - service window into kitchen showed the cooking staff knocking back shots the entire time we were there, any wonder they were confused about orders????...... embarassing for us and our interstate visitors and excuses from staff that they are busy doesn't wash it with the level of staff you have, the small restaurant size, limited menu and polite and patient customers , most reaturants would love to be busy and can seem to handle it just fine, will not...

Came here Saturday night for a friends birthday. Altogether was charged nearly $500 for dinner and a few soft drinks. We originally only wanted six drinks but the waiter than charged us for nine even after we told him we only wanted the six. While looking for dinner we were asked if we wanted to order and said no not yet we’re not ready, so the waiter then came round and picked up all the menus and told us it’s a set menu now and that he was going to choose our order which we did not want and told him we wanted our own dinners. Overall the entire dinner with drinks coasted 454.90 which is definitely not ideal for a bunch of 16-year-olds. We were also not told when The table was booked that it was a set menu and would cost $45 per person. Where my original meal I wanted would have coast less then $15 with drink but I then had to pay $45. Food was pretty average, and not one worker was wearing a mask, the lady waiter who also worked there had her hair down which isn’t the best while working in a food industry. Wouldn’t recommend this place, probably won’t...
