We went there to celebrate our last night in Noosa and left beyond disappointed. We ordered, then were told 5 mins after ordering that they are closing in 40 mins, bear in mind we have literally just ordered and were still waiting for our food - this sort of thing you mention before someone orders. We then got our dishes, two of which were meant to be nut free because of an allergy. We got our first dish, which was not what we asked. We said this 3 times and each we’re told that we have what we asked for and that’s how it comes and that there was two different variations of what we ordered. We then got our second and third dish. Started eating it, to then have the waitress run back to say stop eating because she’s not sure it’s nut free and she needed to check and would be back in 5 mins to confirm. Imagine the shock to hear that… she never came back to confirm so we had to go back and ask! And to top that, we also ordered spring rolls to begin with. Didn’t receive them. The rice was also burnt. 5 mins after eating they started hoovering around us. Then we got the bill, where our 1st dish that we ordered was not on there, it was in fact a wrong dish. I questioned this and the lady said her waitress didn’t understand when ordering and ‘she didn’t mean to lie to us’. Overall, avoid this place. Especially if you’re allergic. The most terrifying experience in a long time! To top that, the service was shocking when raised all these complaints with them! They gave us $10 off the total bill and a whole lot of attitude.
Just to clarify, without sounding like I’m overreacting, these sort of mistakes could literally make someone end up at the hospital. Please don’t ever lie about your customers order or about a dish being what your customer asked for, knowing it’s not. And please triple check the order is nut free as requested BEFORE giving it to...
Read moreIm not sure why this place has such high reviews and im not normally one to review but If im being honest the food was quite yum but ruined by the service the table and chairs felt weak and uncomfortable and were digging into our legs the service was practically non existant the waiter walked past us quite a few times and waited an awkward amount of time to ask if we were ready to order my partner went up to order some beers and was served by someone who appeared to be well under the age of 15 so quite concerning but half the staff seemed to be very young teens which isnt what you expect to see when being served alcohol but i guess considering we never actually recieved the alcohol (after asking multiple staff for them) it isnt really issue 🤣😅 we asked for our food without parsley or coriander due to an allergy the peanut sauce came out with parsley on top and the waiter took it and clearly just took it off and served the same sauce right back to us luckily my allergy is not severe but still not a good practice for a resturant to just remove the alllergen as it had still touched the food i have some suspitions about my chicken satay stirfry as some parts were burning hot and some luke warm (potentially microwaved vibes) but also some patches tasted heavily like corriander and tingled my tongue quite badly i left the resturant with an itchy tongue a headache and a refund for the non existant beers the food was yum besides the mild allergic reaction and i personally wouldnt return because the service and the comfortability of the place just...
Read moreThe place was full of diners on the night we popped in to order takeaway. Seemed like a pleasant place for those dining in. We only ordered a couple of dishes: Pad Thai with chicken, the Red Curry with duck, and some white rice. The order was ready to collect in the timeframe promised.
Unfortunately, the food was a total disappointment. The rice was hard and dry, the Pad Thai was overdone in the catsup department (overpowering in its sweet tomato sauciness), and the portions of chopped duck placed on top of the red curry were mostly fatty skin, along with a bit of dry meat. Both the Pad Thai and red curry over-relied on red capsicum. The weirdest part about the red curry was the use of celery and all the pieces of inedible pineapple core (no actual pineapple flesh). Was it some kind of joke, we wondered?
I can’t recommend this restaurant at all based on our experience. It was overpriced, and anyone who has experienced good quality, authentic Thai food from the capital cities of the East Coast will be shocked. I really wonder whether the kitchen staff are Thai, or some other nationality based on the flavours and ingredients used. On the other hand, anyone from a regional area familiar with mainly regional ‘Aussie Choineez’ food as their Asian go-to may...
