First Point Barber — Local services in Noosa Heads

Worst barber we have ever been to. The bloke (the stocky bloke with red hair working out of the middle chair) sat my son down in the chair, then wandered off to have a drink of his energy drink and texted on his phone for about 3 mins, leaving him sat there. Then, when he eventually came back he didn’t listen to what my son asked him for and proceeded to totally butcher his hair. My young bloke (14) had been growing a mullet for about 6 months and just wanted the sides of his head shaved/faded. He didn’t want anything off the top or back. He even showed the bloke a picture of exactly what he wanted. The bloke didn’t listen to him/didn’t pay attention (he spent the majority of the appt chatting to the other 2 barbers and looking out of the window rather than actually focussing on what he was doing). The bloke cut the mullet fully off and also cut heaps off the top/front. My poor son has been absolutely gutted and pretty devastated ever since.

Absolutely terrible service and I would never recommend the bloke with the red hair to anyone. To be fair to the other two barbers working there, they seemed like really decent fellas and looked to be doing an awesome job for their clients. I am a Brisbane local and barber by trade. Nervous to get my haircut in Noosa, as I am quite meticulous about my own hair, I took the plunge and visited what I know to be First Point Barber Shop. The owner was working (Matt) along side his apprentice (Jed). I was greeted at the door with a smile and very friendly character, Jed. My barber, Matt did an incredible job and makes me wonder why I was such a stress head getting a haircut elsewhere. Great skills and multitasking ability! While he was giving me this awesome service and being genuinely interested about me and my day, Matt was able to keep clients coming in feel like they were wanted and assure them that the wait would not be too long. And it wasn’t! I left the store after sitting in the chair in about 20 minutes Tops for one of the best skin fades I have worn.

Have been here several times and Matthew has done best hair cuts I have had for years!!! Sadly today went to get a cut at 1030 there were 2 employees working and customers in chair for both. I was next in line. Lots of chat from one guy with his customer including f bombs and c word. Not a prude But really?? Other guy finished his customer at 1120 and slowly swept the floor without acknowledging people waiting. Then went behind the counter and still no acknowledgement!! I gave up and left at 1130 and the next guy in line to his fate!!
