Normanville Surf Life Saving Club — Restaurant in Normanville

What a disappointing experience. I was looking forward to a lovely afternoon and a glass of Prosecco on the balcony in the great weather. After being seated and served, staff suddenly noticed I had my 11-year-old Jack Russell with me — a dog everyone around had already commented was quiet and well-behaved. I was then told I had to leave because of the dog.

I specifically looked for “no dogs allowed” signage on the way in and saw nothing. To make matters worse, I wasn’t allowed to take my drinks downstairs, leaving me in a catch-22. They offered to transfer them into paper cups, which felt embarrassing and completely unnecessary. I chose to leave everything behind instead.

Love the new Surf Life Saving Club. I've been recently for the second training session I've been to at the site, and wow, the view is amazing, especially out on the verandah. It's an excellent space to enjoy a glass of wine on the deck. The facilities are absolutely excellent. An excellent space to book for regional training sessions/large meetings, but I can't wait to pop in for a drink one afternoon and enjoy the sun setting over the water.
