Burger joints are my absolute favourite, so needless to say I have a very high standard for places just like this.
Visually, the outside is very casual and appealing. It invited me and my group of four in, and we happily accepted. The inside being just as good, if not a bit cramped. Especially on a cold, wet day when everyone is sitting inside but that’s at no fault of the owners.
Stepping inside, we were immediately greeted by the employees. The young ladies were very friendly and approachable. Instantly lifting the mood with their presence and smiles.
The tables were clean, the chairs were comfortable. I’m a big guy needing to stretch my legs out and luckily I was accommodated.
We could smell food being cooked in the kitchen, and food being eaten at the tables next to us. My mouth watered in anticipation as my eyes scanned over the menu. Every item looked absolutely amazing.
I ordered the Eggspot cheeseburger with a side of fries and can of Coke Zero. The burger itself was $17, and let me tell you, the amount they put into one burger would have me pay more happily. The size of the fries given to me was also a surprise. A real bang for your buck at this location.
But the real question is, how was the food? Well, the burger exploded with flavour. Eggs, beef patty, pickles, onions, the sauce, the cheese.. everything worked so well together and delivered an incredible meal. The fries cooked to perfection. Honestly, the burger was so chocked full of stuff that it did end up being messy but I didn’t care. It was so good and I was really enjoying myself, so the mess was simply apart of the grand experience.
Once again, the employees proved themselves very professional and accomodating. Interacting with customers, thanking them for their business, and overall adding to the vibe and experience.
Definitely a must for burger lovers or anyone looking for good food in the city. Dine in, takeaway,...
Read moreI have been coming here once a fortnight for at least a year now, and it’s no accident. My work requires me to get out of bed at 5am, and on those cold winter mornings, the motivation to get myself out from under the quilt while it’s still dark, is knowing I’m soon going to be drinking one of Sean’s excellent coffees while I wait for my burger to arrive. I’ve tried to sample a variety of things on the menu (and it’s a big selection), but I can’t help but return to the eggspot cheeseburger. I’d never have thought of adding cumin to a burger, but I’m telling you, it absolutely takes the classic cheeseburger to a new level. More than just tasting great, I get a real kick out of how good the food looks-each and every burger looks like the one in the picture-after years of sensory and dietary abuse from major fast food chains where the only time the food looks at trains in an advertisement, I didn’t know it was actually possibly to present a burger in a way that looks as great as it tastes. So do yourself a favour and grab one today, and congratulate yourself for one of the best decisions you’ll have made. You might be tempted to simply Uber one (they fly out the door in paper bags all morning), but I suggest you sit in, enjoy a friendly chat with Sean, and experience it in all its glory hot and fresh out of...
Read moreI really liked this place! I've followed their socials page for a while and always wanted to try the Fremantle store but never made it out there.
The service was really efficient. I feel like it was only 5 minutes between ordering and receiving my meal. I got the Friday special $10 cheeseburger (comes with egg, of course) the burger was really large and looks exactly like the photos you see on Instagram, it's not common that the food that comes out matches exactly the image you had in your head! The brioche bun was soft and sweet but not too cakey, the burger patty was thick and juicy - still very slightly pink inside, the egg itself was soft and fluffy, it went so well with the cheese and smokey, spicy creamy sauce. Underneath was some red onion and fresh sweet pickle slices that cut through the richness of the other ingredients.
Really well made burger, excellent value for a friday special. For an extra $6 you can get a hash brown and coffee, or for $5 you can get a fries and drink.
Great place to grab...
