The young male waiter was rude to me and the owner stood there and did nothing. I was appalled and mortified. Sunday Morning ruined. Never again.
As I read through the previous comments it seems like a reoccurring theme.
Here goes my sob story: I called in beforehand and made a reservation for 2 for my partner and me. The table that I was given was a very small table which was sandwiched in between a packed row of customers. My shoulder was literally bumping the other patron dining in the next table. It was definitely not a space for private conversations.
When I saw that there were a few larger tables that weren't reserved, I went to the counter to ask politely for a change of table. My request was, however, turned down rudely by an arrogant young male waiter who ordered me to stay at my tiny, allocated table with the reason being that there were only 2 of us. I felt unfairly treated as I could see that there were other patrons of two using the same sized table at the same area. When i pointed that out, I was told "GET OUT of the shop! "
This has got to be the first time.
I felt MORTIFIED when I told to GET OUT of the shop. I felt even more APPALLED when I came to learn, later, that the owner of the shop was standing next to this rude waiter doing the coffee throughout the entire ordeal and couldn't care to intervene. When he was approached later to explained my whole situation, he seemed more interested in getting on with his work, let alone remedy my situation.
We were forced to leave the cafe with the paid coffee that hasn't arrived.
Well, I can't say that my Sunday morning is uneventful albeit an...
Read moreStart off by saying, this would be a 5 star, I have no complaint with food, my wife said it was excellent. The jazz excellent and the ambiance too.Unfortunately, they forgot to process my order, I asked a male member of staff, what had happened, stated, he would find out,a lovely girl staff member spoke to us and also stated she find out, no reply from the male, the girl arrived some 5 minutes later and very apologetically told me it was being cooked there and then, happy and enjoyed the entire feeling was happy to wait, cue My man coming back throwing my food and 12 bucks on the table, no explanation, in fact no communication or interaction with CUSTOMER, I was made too feel as though it was my fault the order was not completed, this man was aggressive in his manner and and totally in the wrong job, should go back to hospitality training...I went back into the cafe and asked why the attitude to be met by, I have already apologised don't need to again don't need to explain, told staff to keep my food, BAD ATTITUDE!. The female staff apologised profusely and had my food placed in a take away box, alas, I never ate it due to the BAD taste left in my mouth, by an arrogant staff member ..would I go back, yeah, but only if he is not 20km of my vicinity.such a shame that one person can spoil such a...
Read moreJust been to Satchmo Cafe after my yoga session for Breakfast. I had a omelette and salmon which was nice. It cost $18 which i can understand even though a very similar plate in mount lawley, inglewood and leederville for cheaper with bread or same price with bread. I asked the lady (with glasses) if i could get some bread, she said she could bring some for an extra. I got 2 small pieces of bread (about same size then the palm of my hand) with butter ( i did not touch the butter). I went to pay, she charged me $7, I could not believe it particularly because they were small and it was not like i had been given jam with it. I said to her $7 for 2 small pieces, she looked at me like i was stupid and a pain in the bum and "yes, $7" I looked at her in disbelieve. Only when her co worker whispered something to her that she reduced it to $5. I thought that even this was too much. $3 ok but anyway, i did not argue. I know they have to pay for the rent, food and staff but this is pure rip off. What made it worse is the attitude of the waitress. I think, these people forget that they would not have a job if we, customers would not eat at their cafe. As a result, i will not go back to this cafe and I will ensure that i spread my bad experience as much...
