Worst Hospitality in Darwin such a Horrible Experience

Few months ago I went to a lizard bar to play pool games. On that day, I had a bad experience. I reported it to the management and simply wrote a Google review. Surprisingly After a few days I heard from my friends, I got banned from that venue. I didn’t get notified; I didn’t get any authorised letters from the bar saying that due to this reason you are banned from our venue. After a few months, I went to the same place and one of the staff asked me if you are the same person who wrote the Google review a few months ago. I said yes I am the one who writes the feedback or reviews whatever I got experienced on that day. Then after the staff told me you are banned from here our boss doesn’t want you to come to this place again and asked me to leave right now. I asked him for what offence I am being banned and for how long? Can you please state the reason behind what offence I did at the place so I am being banned from the venue? They denied giving me a reason and simply said that you write a negative review on our website. So, my question is that, as per the consumer law and act anyone who feels any bad experiences can give feedback and review. As per the scenario if someone writes a negative review are they banned from the place? I went through their website and I found a couple of reviews good and bad from different customers regarding their experiences. So, I guess those who provide negative comments also might be banned from there. If they are really scared of the customer feedback and review and don’t know the hospitality it's better to shut down the business and sleep at home. There are lots of places in Darwin to go and enjoy better than that venue. I didn't lose anything, they lost the customers. Good Luck to them.

We booked here for 4 nights n received a discount as a special offer they had. We went to the front counter n spoke with a young persumed back packer. She was not rude but appeared unclear as to applying a discount for our 5th night as she simply said "we don't offer a discount for 1 night" The youngish, olive skinned, brown hair, bigger lady who we assumed was the manager stood there n listened to our whole conversation. Once my partner said its ok we will go somewhere else she walked over. At first she agreed with the other staff member as we were explaining again n spoke very abruptly. We then explained it again that we were not booking for 1 night we are extending our stay. With this she said there had been a misunderstanding again with a terrible abrupt attitude. She put the transaction thru and added our extra night to our slip. She then yelled "HAVE A LOVELY DAY in a condescending manner. I said to her " u dont have to have such a sarcastic manner. That is not good customer service love to be yelling at someone over the counter" again she repeated " have a lovely day" n walked away. In 18 months we have never experienced someone with such a terrible customer service attitude. The atmosphere in the shop is really not good. On a positive note, the guy who works in the park is just lovely n the bar staff...

Unfortunately after i posted this review i received so much abuse from staff & Management via facebook to which i kept screenshots. Absolutely horrendous behaviour indeed. Seriously i would avoid this place at all costs.

I was super excited to have a " Best of British" meal. Place was easy to get to, parking easy enough. Place was presentable and clean. Was so looking forward to the "real chips". I ordered fish and chips with a side of curry sauce and gravy. The food came in little cardboard boxes. The chips were actually frozen chips deep fried to within an inch of their lives so we're quite dark brown and crispy like crisps. The little fish was nice. Gravy was Maggi gravy and the curry sauce I don't even know 🤦🏼‍♀️. I really needed a cup of tea, but unfortunately they don't even serve hot drinks, apparently they stop those from 2pm. Crazy for a Best of British evening. So absolutely super disappointed. Sorry I came. Definitely FALSE advertising would not recommend, seriously don't...
