A wonderful place! The gardens have developed considerably since our last visit 7 years ago. There is something serene about this garden. Winding paths, lots of seats and picnic tables and a great representation of many key local plant groups in a beautiful setting. There are some delightful stories linked to Olive Pink told throughout the garden.

The setting is stunning with the gardens blending into the rugged rocks behind and above them.

It’s great that they have the plantings well labeled, something mostly missing at the Desert Park (which is a must see despite this) and the brochure is extremely helpful for tragic like us who want to know what we are looking at.

We did not make use of the cafe this time as we had already had a wonderful coffee at the Watertank Cafe and a picnic under shady trees here.

A real tribute to the volunteers and staff who have developed and enhanced this treasure of a...

I was quite disappointed with my recent visit to Olive Pink Botanical Garden. I had high expectations, but unfortunately the gardens did not seem well cared for. Many areas looked untidy and neglected, with plants that appeared poorly maintained. I expected a much higher standard, especially given the significance of the gardens and their unique desert environment.

The setting itself is beautiful and has so much potential, but the lack of proper upkeep really detracts from the experience. A botanical garden should showcase the best of native flora, yet it felt like this space has been left without the care and attention it deserves.

I truly hope management invests more effort into restoring and maintaining the gardens to the level visitors expect. It could be such a wonderful place to explore, but right now it left me...

We went to the botanical garden for breakfast today (Saturday the 8th of October) after we found the place online and red their menu (which isn't the correct one at all). The sortiment was limited and more simple than the one we had seen online.

My dad ordered pancakes and when they arrived he immediately spat them out because some how they made them with salt instead of sugar. They barely apologises and only suggested to get him some banana bread, which didn't even cost as much. No complimentary drink, no reduce in price, nothing to make up for the pretty huge mistake.

The first thing I saw when my poached eggs with salmons came in, was a dead mosquito on the egg.....

The staff was very unenthusiastic and not very alert or welcoming. The service was slow and the banana bread took a very long time to get. But the...

Great botanical gardens and walk. Payed $72 for breakfast, which was ridiculous! Bacon and eggs. It costs $1 more to have your egg fried. Else it’s only poached. Scrambled eggs for eggs came out half cooked and looked horrible. They put baby spinach with balsamic vinegar on the plate, to fill the gap. Asked for toast instead of sourdough bread and they don’t do it. Honestly... will never return. Kids had a horrible experience with food. The walk is nice, but over rated. Plants aren’t looked after and all it seems a bit dodgy. It’s like a walk through the bush, with less animals and a footpath. Kids loved the butterflies.

This is a great place to check out the flora and forna of central Australia. It's free and they have organised a nice car park. I wanted to park in the shade and took a couple of minutes finding it. The gardens aren't as you'd find in a big European capital, it's a track ( or more so), several tracks very well done that go in different directions. The plants are absolutely amazing as is the countryside and you'll not find that sort of thing elsewhere. The countryside is absolutely beautiful and you see more and more as you get higher. You cannot go to Alice Springs without visiting the Olive Pink botanic gardens.
