I visited Lola’s Pergola last month with a group of friends for a casual mid-week dinner. The restaurant is located on the west side of Cullen Bay, right next to the docking area. It was a fairly busy evening, with most of the tables occupied. I had the Barramundi fish and chips and a beer. The fish was delicious with a mild, buttery flavor and a flaky texture. The dish came with a side salad and a couple of complimentary sauces. The portion was big enough to be filling. Overall, I can definitely recommend the fish and chips. The pizzas also looked good, though I didn’t try them. As for drinks, I noticed a wide variety of beers, including some locally brewed ones — so if you enjoy trying local treats, it’s a good place to come. Food and drink orders are placed at the bar but brought to your table. We were told there would be about an hour's wait for the food, but it arrived in around 40 minutes. The staff was friendly and professional. Lola’s Pergola has a laid-back atmosphere, enhanced by some quirky, luna park-themed decorations. The boats docked nearby and the view of the bay add a nice ocean vibe to the setting. Food and drink prices were average, though they also offered some...

We came here for dinner whilst visiting Mum in August, she was familiar with this restaurant and thought we would like it. First impressions were great, beautiful location, lovely place with great comfy seating, however that's where the good ends for me. Firstly, mine and my husbands dinner were late coming out, much later that my Mum's and her friend's. Finally a staff member from the bar came to inform us that they were waiting on payment from us, so had put a hold on our order. I showed proof that the payment had been made, by showing my banking app. No apologies for the late meal! Secondly, A very loud intoxicated man with no shirt on and very short shorts was making a lot of noise at the bar, right near our table, He seemed to be friends with the bar staff, as they had come to be with him, getting photo's. Then this man came over to our table and tried to sit in my Mum's walker. We had to make a real effort to stop him, as he was a large man and we were worried he would break it. I had to get up from my seat to tell him to go away! Not sure I'd come back, which is a shame, as it's a...

Made a booking PRIOR and requested a good view, and a booth seat for a birthday. We arrived and our ‘Reserved’ seat was in-front of a jumbo fan, not a booth. We could not sit there in peace with gusts of wind nearly knocking us over. It was a table that could seat at-least 10. When queried, we were told the other people seating in our booth with the view had put money down which is why we were moved and that seat was reserved for a larger group. We asked why we weren’t asked to put money down? We would have, it’s a birthday. To make matters worse, the people seating in our seat evidently had less people than us which didn’t make any sense. I was given a free drink and sat in the corner of the inside, with walls surrounding me, no view. For my birthday I was extremely let down. Especially after seeing the shift leader laughing and pretending to bang her head after I had left with my free drink. How unprofessional and...
