After reading many good reviews I opted to order delivery from here rather than collect from another cafe close by. The everything bagel with cream cheese was disappointing, little to no topping consisted of sesame seeds and a few poppy seeds - nothing else - which is where the flavour is expected from. The cream cheese was a little lacking and the bagel itself was subpar, although edible, did not reflect traditional texture or seem freshly baked. For $15 plus $1 for the ‘everything bagel’ topping there are better value options elsewhere. The iced latte ($9) was good and order was packed well for delivery however a napkin would have been handy.
Other feedback would be to allow add ons to the plain bagel on food partner platforms like the direct website...
Read moreWent to the Gully for fish feeding, great place and experience, especially for kids. Have been here a few times.
The Cafe has a small menu of bagels that sound all yummy. The bagel I tried (avocado and tomato) was average, not toasted but still enjoyed. Would order again if visiting and try other bagel options.
Service needs improvement however. When you order, you need to collect your drink from the front counter and the food has to be collected right down the back of the premises (back end near toilets). This is a little of an inconvenience especially if you have kids and sitting in cafe area. No table service, buzzer is given. Would be great to have collection from the cafe or offer...
Read moreI have been so excited to try these bagels. Perhaps I had too high hopes, but I was pretty disappointed with my plain bagel with cream cheese and lox. The cream cheese was delicious but the bagel itself suffers from that same problem most Australian bagels experience where the density just isn't right. On a scale of bread roll to bagel, the Darwin Bagel Co it kind of sits in between the two. I will give it another whirl and get a seedy bagel next time but it was really disappointing for the high price point. Great ambiance though and...
