Ocean Grove Pizza & Pasta — Restaurant in Ocean Grove

I was a customer in the restaurant the other night and was greeted with lovely service and the food was good BUT i could overhear the staff in the kitchen swearing at each other and speaking very poorly to another young member of staff who im sure was just trying their best. i felt like the environment was harbouring toxic management and allowing for the young kids working there to be spoken to like they're dirt. i was also joined by my young kids who could overhear the foul language being used. the lady in the kitchen was repeatedly swearing and i even heard her say that because one of the waitresses asked where a customers meal was that it would now be taking longer due to her being asked about it. all the young staff there seem to be trying to do their jobs and the waitress that served me seemed humiliated when we could all overhear the language being used behind the counter. please encourage your staff to act more professional and to treat others with respect. i will not be coming back as this is the third time i have overheard things like this. i have never had an issue with the young kids serving me. They are always polite whether its over the phone, in the restaurant or doing a takeaway order, however, every time i hear an older member of staff speak it is always in a disrespectful tone including some foul language. i hope that no one would ever treat my kids like this. they are all young and cannot be expected to be perfect. i will not be...

Ocean Grove Pizza & Pasta are amazing, great quality food with the most beautiful waitress (inside and out) - She is very attentive to patrons' dining needs and without fail, always has a smile and warm presence about her. What an asset to the restaurant. The food (and price) takes me back to what it used to be like when I was a child going out for dinner with my family; guaranteed to get a good meal, a plate actually full of food (and the good stuff too - not just all salad and a little meat oh noooo not here), service with a smile, staff happy to be there, did I mention tasty food and all at a reasonable price. My husband makes amazing home made pizza's (base and all), so we don't eat pizza outside of the home, but we very much enjoyed their pizza's also (we hadn't bought pizza since 2017 but we did at our last visit here) and we all enjoyed it (even our toddler little miss fussy 4 going on 21 ;P) , so don't hold back for asking for your preferred crust or ingredients or anything because the happy staff will attend to your foodie needs without the huge price tag to go with it. We very much enjoy this restaurant and even hubby is happy because we can leave with full tummies and not an empty wallet (I must say I eat A LOT!!!! it get's quite costly, but not here), so it's win...

Terrible communication. I placed my Order online and the order was “lost”, 40mins later (5mins after the confirmed pick up time) when I asked my friend to pick the Pizza up for me ( as I have just had surgery and am unable to drive), She was told they hadn’t made it yet. She left and called me, then I called personally to check what was going on; Was then told that the order was ready and waiting on the oven. My friend then had to make her way back to collect the pizza. By the time we got the pizza it was warm; and cold before we finished it. Really disappointed. When she did collect the pizza, they told her that I had spelt MY OWN NAME wrong and that was why they couldn’t find it, because the pronunciation THE EMPLOYEE used was incorrect.
