Fabulous Indian cuisine. I was in Orange for a short trip and the god there reminded me of food back in India. Fully authentic, mouth watering and deliciously heavenly. First day I had Stuffed kulcha which is basically a variation of chapatti but more delicious and stuffed with mashed potato with chicken Hyderabadi which is type a chicken curry from the southern part of India. It's spicy and delicious. So much so that I had to try out some other dishes as well on the same day.this time I opted for veg dishes cheese and garlic naan with Dal makhani which is a spicy lentil curry and it was even better than the one that I had before. Being a meat lover it's very rare that I enjoy veg more than meat but this was an exceptional scenario. My taste buds were all again my logical sense. Next day I decide to try out something else so had keema naan - a naan stuffed with minced chicken. With it I had prawn Burada which is type of prawn curry along with it butter chicken. I can assure you that once you had a bite it was a burst of spice that simply melted within your mouth fulfilling every inch of the taste buds. To finish the meal I had mango lassi- a mango yogurt shake that will give you a sensation of ambrosia once it pours through your neck.Although no words could sum up the outstanding experience I had there but I can vouch that it was a gastronomical delight for a...
Read moreOrdered a vegetable dish. While waiting for it to arrive the time passed appointed time for delivery. I called the restaurant. I was verbally abused and they threatened to call police. I was accused of troubling their business. I was not. I simply politely asked when it would be delivered. I was not heard and much loud verbal abuse ensued. I hung up bewildered. Ten minutes later my order arrived. It was left at the door under threat by slugs escaping the rain. When I opened it there was sauce sauce and more sauce, accompanied by a few overcooked broccoli and what tasted like thawed carrots julienned. Not at all worth what was paid for it. In all a most unappetizing experience, It landed in the bin, untouched after first taste. The whole experience was terrible. The abuse uncalled for and unwarranted. Ordered through Menulog who offered me a $10 voucher but did not send it. An obvious incentive to order again which I will not ever do again. All in all a most unsatisfactory evening and appalling treatment and service from the restaurant and...
Read moreWe always thought the food here was better than other Indian restaurants in town. Still the case.
The restaurant is quite large and you do not feel you are crushed together like another in town. The ambiance was quiet allowing easy conversation with friends.
But when we went there a couple of weeks ago, to our horror they have put a plastic McDonald’s type playground at the back of the tables. All it took was a bunch of uncontrolled noisy kids (mostly from one large table) banging on the play equipment to totally ruin our experience. We watched the kids fighting to get on the slide which eventually resulted in one youngster not getting her way to commence screaming. I wish I could post a short video of the noise.
So for the headache I had when we left at the earliest opportunity, you have reduced your business from 5 stars to just 1. We won’t be back as long as you continue serving Indian in a...
