Popped in here on a work trip based on the recommendations of a few locals. This retro little place is nestled in with the Pichi Richi Railway Station museum and is on the low side of Stirling Road. Loads of free car parking available. The whole building complex here is looking a little tired (I remember it from my childhood long ago). Retro furnishings might just be your style - if you you'll love it. At the time we visited there only two or three other tables in use. Service was ok although I asked for a fresh turkish roll and it somehow got toasted anyway! Nevermind, it was still tasty. Coffee was surprisingly good, but definitely better in crockery. A close second in terms of quality coffee in Port Augusta.

Great little place hidden away from the traffic of the street above. Service way great, almond milk dirty chia was up there with the best and the food was delicious, Bacon and eggs on toast yet simple but soo good. Sometimes that's all we need, nothing fancy. They're accommodating at all needs. Thanks guys and girls next time I'm in the area I will be seeing you again.

Stop here for lunch. Simple cafe at the rail way station. Nice cosy inside. Service staff was pleasant and patient. We ordered latte, caramel shake and iced earl grey for drinks to start. For meals we had chicken burger, egg ben and bacon eggs on toast. by the way, they have GF option. Crowd started to come in around noon. Popular local cafe for the locals.

Arrived at 0850 well ahead of the planned ride on Pichi Richi which was scheduled to depart at 1030, figuring over 90 minutes would be ample time to dine comfortably. Sadly this was not the case.

Despite the regularity of which the train runs, there seemed to only be minimal staff to handle the upsurge of passengers rolling through before departure.

20 minutes wait for an order of coffees.

60+ minutes into our wait for breakfast and after enquiring we were advised our food was “being plated up now”

Still waiting at 70+ minutes and looking like we will be on the train without our food.

Speed of service is severely lacking.

Hate giving bad reviews but at the end of the day, we were unable to get what...

Avoid at all costs. Staff are uninterested, inefficient & extremely rude. Simply ordered two muffins, two flat whites & two take away rolls. Overcharged for muffins, requested coffees in cups & they were provided in takeaway cups & rolls to go never appeared. When we requested them to be provided the owner was extremely rude & said that we would have to wait like everyone else, even though we had already been waiting for 20 minutes & had requested them on multiple occasions. DO NOT SUPPORT this...
