My family and I are EP locals and we are gobsmacked at how shockingly terrible Sarin’s has become. Both the food and the service are a total disgrace. This is the first bad Google review I have ever left and I’m doing it because I don’t want any visitors to Port Lincoln to waste their time and money at Sarin’s. It’s a nice-looking place with a prominent spot on the front street but don’t be fooled by appearance - their food and service do not match this in the slightest. It’s currently an embarrassment to the Eyre Peninsula. The service is appalling and they absolutely butcher our beautiful fresh seafood (see picture of the rubbery tuna medallions on days old soggy red cabbage salad drenched in who knows what - $40 they charged a pop for that). The comedy of errors we experienced at this restaurant tonight is worthy of a bonus episode of Fawlty Towers. It started with arguing with us when we first arrived about our reservation, then progressed to a 1-hour and 15-min wait for our food with two hungry kids and a baby in tow. Then the abomination in this picture turned up (we had ordered two of these - and the rest of the food was mediocre at best). The cherry on top was when the waiter asked “so how was everything” and we said “some of it was okay and some of it was bloody terrible” and his response was, “Perfect!” - and proceeded to make no eye contact, collected the plates, and left 🤣 (On my previous experience eating here, my friend ordered a sirloin steak and I ordered a scotch fillet and when the waiter brought them out he said “I forgot which is which” 🤣 So blasé and so bad.) On this occasion, we obviously didn’t eat the minuscule servings of old tuna on old salad - as it was actually inedible - and instead had to go into battle to get a refund. We went home and made ourselves spaghetti bolognese. If you’re visiting Port Lincoln, Santi’s has phenomenal food, Fumo has incredible food, Line and Label is fabulous - and I’m sure the pubs are much better than Sarin’s too. Don’t waste one of your meals here, it’s just...

Read moreMy recent visit and experience to the Bar/Bistro was somewhat disappointing, however, there were some notable highlights. The staff greeted us with smiles and were polite though somewhat reserved. The glasses of Sparklng wine served were flat so we returned them, and new bubbles poured. We enquired about a light menu to accompany our wine but was informed the kitchen had closed for the day, which was fair enough as 3.30pm ( but then again it is peak tourist season in the city) then I asked for some crisps or similar but they had run out of behind the bar. We were informed we could purchase some across the road at the Drive Thro Bottle'O. We sat outdoors in the recently completed courtyard area which now also has an enclosed area and canopy to escape the sun's rays or the cool winds. There is varied seating options, high or low tables and booth seating. The decor is in keeping with the beach vibe and colours of ocean waters. The view out across of the magnificent Morton Bay fig and beyond of Boston Bay is...
