Rocksalt at the Marina — Restaurant in Port Macquarie

We visited Rocksalt at the Marina for dinner yesterday to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and it was an incredible experience. It was our first time dining there, and the beautiful waterfront views combined with live music created the perfect atmosphere for a special occasion.

We ordered a selection of dishes to share, and our absolute favourites were the fried cauliflower and calamari – both were outstanding! The grilled salmon and prawns were also a highlight, cooked to perfection – tender, juicy, and packed with flavour.

We highly recommend trying the chicken satay (we opted for the gluten-free option). The sage sauce was a delightful addition, and the chicken was exceptionally juicy and tender.

We also tried the pumpkin arancini balls with tomato, cheese, and basil sauce. While they were tasty, they were slightly soggy inside and a bit bland – perhaps a good option for those who prefer milder flavours.

Dinner on a Saturday night - looking forward to it however very disappointing I had the salad with the prawns - I got 3 prawn heads with 2 bodies not intact - that was all on a bed of leaves. On menu it mentioned quite a few other items but I could only find a few on the bottom of the plate My partner had the fish, chips and the salad - one skinny piece of fish, some salad leaves and a handful of chips Meals were not cheap either There are so many better places to dine at around the area An hour after our dinner we went across the road and bought a burger each as we were still hungry.
