I ordered the “mussels in red wine sauce,” excited to have some beautiful seafood by the water but what arrived was a bowl of heartbreak. There was nothing “red wine” about it unless by red wine jus they meant a chunky, acidic tomato paste swimming in suspicious mussel juice. It looked (and tasted) like someone had emptied a tin of tomato soup over the poor things and hoped for the best. To make things even stranger, it was advertised with a “side of Turkish bread,” but what arrived was garlic bread… with mussels! This dish should have been advertised as a pasta dish without the pasta. My partner’s calamari was equally uninspiring, chewy, bland, and forgettable. I questioned whether to leave this review but after spending over $100 for lunch I wish we read a review like this beforehand and went to a local pub.

The menu selection was good. I decided on the Spinach & Feta Quiche with salad and lemon & pineapple juice. The salad was mainly lettuce and a few elongated slices cucumber, and very small amount of Spanish onion & tiny bit grated carrot The quarter tomato had seen better days and not tasty. Food is served to your table, but you need to climb back up stairs, if down on the deck to order your meal and pay. As I ordered a juice and glass, I needed to carry the bottle, glass, cutlery and a number for order back down stairs to table. With hands full, you can't hold the rail while going down steps. So service a bit disappointing. The deck has a pleasant outlook overlooking the boats at the marina.

Excellent service and wonderful staff. They were very kind and made every effort to accommodate me and the service was very efficient considering all the tables were full. Food - I had the whiting, chips and salad. Nice meal except I found the chips to be a little under salted although they were yummy otherwise. Very basic undressed salad. Fish was Yum. I noticed that it is licensed in case this appeals to diners? Whilst dining I observed a staff member carry a cake to a table and sing happy birthday as she went. Pretty impressive 😀

Late lunch. I had the barramundi which they swapped to chips & garden salad instead of the sides stated on the menu. My wife ordered the Seasalt salad with grilled chicken, & asked for the salad dressing on the side. Our requests were accepted with a smile & a cheery "no problem." We ordered a mojito for my wife & I had a can of Coke as I was the driver on the day. Total cost was $73.50. We sat at a table out on the deck looking over the marina. We had our dog with us (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) & the wait staff brought a fresh bowl of cold water for him without us having to ask. Very much appreciated! The mojito arrived shortly after, & our meals about 15-20 minutes after we ordered. The barramundi was a fillet of reasonable size & nicely cooked, juicy & flaking nicely. I did find one small bone, but I don't have a problem with that as I'm always cautious with seafood. The chips were cooked just so, crunchy on the outside & fluffy inside. The salad was mostly lettuce (although of several varieties), with some grated carrot, 1 quarter of a tomato (I think it was the standard "gourmet" variety commonly available at most supermarkets & grocery stores), & 2 slices of cucumber cut diagonally from the cucumber. There was a small dollop of aioli on the side of the plate & a slice of lemon for squeezing over the fish. The Seasalt salad was quite large (again a lot of lettuce of different types), served in a bowl with the sweet potato cut into cubes, as was the feta. The chicken was also cut into cubes. The dressing was served in a small tub on the side of the plate. The chicken was cooked nicely, not dried out. My wife quite enjoyed the salad & said she would happily order it again. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience & can highly recommend...

Today I had a pathetic and deceptive sea food basket. It looked terrible and tasted terrible and was extremely quick( 5 minutes)which makes me suspicious. Seafood basket on website mentioned there would be a piece of fish, calamari, prawn and chips. What I got was 2 small pathetic pieces of fish and a weird pastry twist with a few tiny prawns and salad. I got no calamari until I complained. The calamari was nice but the rest of the meal was terribly cooked and was not a decent sized seafood basket which I ordered. and not what I thought I ordered. Also the website said it would be $21. Please update your website!I have never ever ordered a seafood basket before with only a few bits of seafood.A big Salad was mostly lettuce with a bit of coleslaw on top. I also ordered a chai late brewed on soy milk. I asked for a mug. I got a tiny teapot with a chai tea bag and soy milk in small jug. They realized their mistake and brought a chai brewed on soy milk. It was in a tiny pot and only filled half my mug. It didnt taste very strong, being like warm soy milk with a slight chai taste. One person and chef was very rude to me. Chef said we'd had no complaints before. Menu also never mentioned a salad would be included, only seafood. Chips were horribly cooked and dry. One waitress was sympathetic which I appreciated. I got up to show staff menu from their website and my meal was almost taken away. A terrible experience and I won't be back! I had eaten at sea salt about 6 months ago and food was much better. Probably my worst ever restaurant experiences. The "seafood basket" cost $24 and tiny chai late cost $6. Very dissapointed and I won't be back!...

I called ahead being Sunday and wanting to see if they had space for two people. They said we could try out luck with a walk in. We went ahead and did just that. Upon entering we were told to go find someone else down the back as he might have a table and she just didn’t seem interested.

We found said person who gave us an offer of about 4 different empty tables. Which was nice and we took our pick of the selection. Upon sitting down I noticed a selection of dirty tables just siting there. Thought nothing of it. The staff left and said he would be back with menus. He was never heard from again. After waiting 10 mins. More tables were seated and handed menus and those tables remained dirty. We finally just walked out after zero service. It’s just menus. The wait staff even avoided just our general direction. Nobody seemed to want to be there.

We turned around and went up the road to the settlers in. Which offer fast friendly service. They were booked being the long weekend but were helpful to what they had and their food and cocktails were delicious and a great value for money. Save your effort and skip this place. Take your money to settlers in and enjoy their wonderful...
