McDonald's Port Pirie — Restaurant in Port Pirie

Extremely disappointed and honestly shocked by the service we received at Port Pirie McDonald’s. We placed our order online through the app, so there should’ve been no reason for any mistakes – yet our order was completely wrong.

Most concerning, a wrap that was specifically ordered without mayonnaise was given to us containing mayonnaise. My sister is allergic and could’ve had an anaphylactic reaction if we hadn’t caught it. On top of that, all the drinks were wrong – the lids were mixed up, and considering one of our family members is diabetic and can’t have sugar, this could’ve been a serious health risk too. These aren’t just small mistakes; they’re dangerous.

We went inside to get the order fixed, where the experience got even worse. The team leader on duty – a short woman with tattoos on her neck – was incredibly rude and completely dismissive. She ignored my daughter, snatched the incorrect wrap from her hand without saying a word, and walked off. No apology, no explanation, nothing. We stood there for over 20 minutes while our other food went cold, only for her to eventually hand us the replacement wrap with no apology – in fact, she rolled her eyes and practically threw it at us.

What’s worse is that this isn’t the first time this same team leader has been rude to us for no reason. We don’t know her personally, yet every time we’ve interacted with her, she’s been unprofessional and unpleasant.

The lack of communication, the dangerous food errors, and the rude service from a manager-level staff member is absolutely unacceptable. McDonald’s needs to seriously rethink their customer service and food safety standards at this...

It's was 38degrees in Port Pirie so my wife and I thought let's get a frozen drink for me and a chocolate thick shake for my wife. Upon trying to order at the drive through, that was barely audible, I was advised that there was no thickshakes and as a second choice no soft serves. I tried for the frozen drink and was advised that the only drink they had was a coke(not frozen). Coke is the only drink I don't like or drink. So my question is what McDonalds store does not sell or have frozen drinks, soft serves or thickshakes when it is advertised on their menu. I didnt end up buying anything because there was nothing available there that I wanted. I would have given a zero rating but had to give a 1 rating to continue with the review. A C OVID hotspot waiting to happen! It doesn’t matter what COVIDsafe signs you out around the place, you need to practice them to make it safe. The Duty Manager (while wearing disposable gloves) went from handling money, to handling food, to walking outside to hand out a drive through order to car, using the door handle in and out, back to handling money and then food again. All the while wearing the same pair of disposable gloves.

No wonder the younger staff member (also wearing disposable gloves) was sent outside to clean tables with a dirty looking damp cloth, no disinfectant spray, wiped over several tables and chairs, came back inside and popped the dirty cloth under the counter and then went on to prepare the fries, putting...
