Aqua Lagoon Cairns — Restaurant in Queensland

Hands down my absolute favorite cafe in Cairns! Located right at the lagoon with a beautiful view of the water, and a great little seating area that is fantastic rain or shine. The cafe was clearly created with a ton of love and personal touches. The smoothies are delicious, and the coffee is top notch and I really love their fun cups and designs. Considering the location, the prices are extremely reasonable. The cafe also has any forgotten travel or lagoon needs as well, it’s really a one stop shop for anything you can possibly need in addition to amazing coffee and food. There are many locally made souvenirs in the shop, and I love how much the cafe supports the surrounding local businesses as well (yay for the feel good bananas!!). I am surprised that there are businesses whom still have the attitude of charging a surcharge of 50 cents to buy a drink for $5. The banks don't charge you extra for the facility to use your card if it's below a certain amount, and at most 1.5 percent by law. It would also save time in processing compared to paying cash and giving change. I will not be spending my money or recommending this business. And I am sure you won't care due to your location and will operate on milking the people whom cairns council built the lagoon, for all to use free. The person who served me forgotten about my order, she served smoothies and food to 2 families after me. I waited 40 minutes before her colleague realised I was waiting for a while. When finally received the order, iced chai was with normal dairy milk instead of almond milk as being ordered and paid for. Tasted more milk than iced chai. Same with the coffee.
