Despite great reviews, I was very disappointed in my Big Breakfast this morning. At $27 for the meal and $10 for a fresh juice, let me just say the fresh juice was good. Why, because it was prepared fresh. Unfortunately, I could have gone to any 'all you can eat breakfast buffet and eaten the same quality food, much cheaper. The meal came out too quickly to be cooked fresh. It appeared to have been assembled from a bain marie with the exception of the poached eggs. The bacon was cooked twice and was unevenly cooked,as it was soft and chewy in some parts and crispy (almost deep fried) in other parts. Im guessing it came from its own juiced in the oven and was then flash fried. Yuck. The sausage was bviously precooked probably blanched in hot water and barely had grill marks on it. Again,it had flavour but was prepared badly and the herbs were overbearing and the fragrant oils, hadn't been cooked properly. The mushroom and tomato appeared to be cooked well before I got anywhere near the cafe and was lazily prepared, thrown whole in an oven tray and left for ages before serving and fell apart to mush when I tried to pick them up or slice them. The barely toasted bread was soaked in tomato and mushroom juice and the bits that werent sopping wet, were chewy. It may have been a bad day, and although the cafe was busy, there didn't appear to be any reason for the food to be precooked. Not at those prices. $37 dollar for that breakfast would have ok but I can get a better one just down the road for 20% less and it is cooked just before you eat it. The wait staff were excellent and they floor was adequate staffed, I just don't understand the rush, the experience was unnecessarily disappointing and terrible value based on what was presented...
Read moreMy first coffee here was great I really enjoyed the larger size 3 shot caramel latte on almond milk. The 2nd visit however was very busy, noisy and they seemed a little flustered. When I questioned if I had the correct coffee (I had ordered the largest again, same price and order as the previous day) I was shut down and told the middle size on display was the large. Not wanting to make a scene I accepted the info given and continued my walk. As I was drinking I found this was not almond milk and no caramel had been added. Very disappointing thisp told me it was not for the rest of the day
Your response is absolutely incorrect i check everytime i receive a take away coffee that it is my name called and that it is definitely almond milk before I take it as anyone with a dairy intolerance does. I did this both times i visited and you confirmed the 1st time that this was correct before I left and the 2nd time when I queried If it was a large almond milk you also told me yes. The 2nd time was when n i received the upset stomach afterwards. After your response with no empathy for my intolerance I won't be...
Read moreThe wife and I decided on a spur-of-the-moment lunch date and happened to spot Bayaroma soon afterwards. Having seen the great reviews we decided to give it a go.
After being served by a friendly and helpful waitress, I opted for the Eggs Benedict while my wife selected the Bayaroma Salad (in the style of a Greek salad). We also added drinks to our meals, the wife taking the Fruit Tingle Frappe while I selected the Flu Shot (a healthy kale, lemon, celery and ginger blend).
Everything was prepared quickly and delivered to our table. The meals were both well presented and tasted great. The hash brown to the side of my meal was a nice (if unnecessary) added touch. My wife also enjoyed and finished her salad, although she did still feel a little hungry afterwards. Both drinks were also nice and helped wash down the food.
Overall, above-par service and meals. If anything, Bayaroma didn't quite compare with a couple of local rivals, although they still provided a positive experience which will likely see us...
