Booked 2 kayaks via the online booking service for a 2 hour session for the following day. Upon arrival it was highlighted by the staff member that he was “not in the mood” to be chasing after people & proceeded to show us the very limited zone in which we were allowed to Kayak. The Esplanade is quite decent stretch of coastline so was hoping for a little more flexibility. I had an 11am booking & when the staff member advised he will see us back at 12pm, I highlighted I had booked & paid for 2 hours. He then informed me that he had an appointment at 1pm & would appreciate if we would be back early. Realizing it would only require 30 minutes to kayak the allocated area at most I happily obliged & spent some time swimming instead to “kill the time” & stretch our limited kayak use to at least something over an hour to get our moneys worth. I would have appreciated the offer of a partial refund as there was no way I was going to kayak for 2 hrs in such a small area while also agreeing to meet his request to return early so he could attend an appointment. Obviously no partial refund was offered & yes I could have asked but didn’t want to deal with the discomfort. And on top of that, the kayaks themselves felt like something more appropriate for a child. I’ve been on quite a few jet ski hires, but this was by far the best. Jesse made the booking process simple and pleasant. He was honest and told us to wait a couple of days for when the waves died down. On the day, we were greeted by Jesse and Erin, filled in the forms, had a briefing, then on to the skis. The actual journey was what made this special. Importantly, they only went as fast as the slowest rider, which meant that all riders felt comfortable. We stopped several times on the way for some local information, and Erin and Jesse really impressed with their local knowledge, showing and telling us about the man made reef, made out of 1000s of tons of cars, trucks, fridges, etc and also the lighthouse. We had a nice stop at Fraser Island, and then went to Moon Point, where we saw turtles and stingrays which was amazing, then on to a place that is now one of my favourites ever, Pelican Bank. It is absolutely stunning with white sand, and crystal clear water. It must be seen to be believed. Failed to deliver the promised service. Booked a JetSki hire online, received confirmation, paid, when arrived to the location by the proposed time no one was there, a cafe lady said that she heard about our booking and someone from JetSki business should be there shortly; waited for about half an hour, were told by the same lady from the cafe that a JetSki operator was on her way and coming shortly. Waited another 40 minutes, were told that Jetskies were coming back from a tour late. Got a JetSki about 1.5 hrs late; no apology or regrets from the operator. As an excuse we were told that something happened to a JetSki on the tour so they could not return on time, and I guess wanted to keep it as a secret as we were not told about the tour or the tour delay when we came. We waited just because our child really wanted to ride a JetSki. While the website under “hire” states that we could bring “Camera if you would like your own photos” we we not allowed to take a GoPro with us, we were told that it’s only for tours; no apologies again.Terrible service, total...
