I ordered a soy latte and soy babychino, without chocolate on top. After having a conversation with the staff about my daughter’s egg and dairy allergy, and looking for a suitable food option for her, I assumed the need for a dairy free drink for my daughter would be really apparent. Instead they served a dairy milk babychino to her. Luckily she had only taken two sips when the hives started breaking out around her mouth so I immediately tasted it and realised what they had done. I had to rush to the chemist to get antihistamine and now I wait to see if we need to go to the hospital. When a customer says they need to cater to an allergy, this needs to be taken seriously, and sadly the two young girls working today clearly couldn’t care less. I went and spoke to them and returned the almost full babychino. An offer of a refund for that drink would have been appreciated given their mistake, but this was not made. Our favorite coffee place whenever in town from Brissy! This little gem has become one of our favourite traditions every time we visit with our children! Whenever we ask what activities should we do, they always say “can we got to that coffee shop” !! They especially love the new chunky biscuits on offer and us parents absolutely love the coffee and looking at the cool little things on display! Only cooked breakfast option was toast and coffee only available in takeaway cups. Didn’t stay.

Response to owner comment - my partner and I value good coffee in a ceramic cup - we feel that it tastes better than paper cups and doesn't add to landfill. We were prepared to go elsewhere, especially if there is very good coffee just around the corner. I “sent my partner in” and remained outside myself with our dog as we were unsure of your policy regarding pets in your cafe. Based on our customer experience a 3 seemed appropriate.
