Big forest cafe — Restaurant in Queensland

Amazing little cafe with super delicious food, friendly service and humble surrounds. I think the young lady who was serving us was caught out as it go super busy at 2pm and she was the only one there- serving AND cooking and doing a great job with a fantastic “can do” attitude. We had the chicken teriyaki and the vegetarian Summi - Rice Burgers and they were delicious! A Japanese family also came in after us and they seemed to have enjoyed it and finished off their plates- always a good endorsement. Having a sushi rice burger at Big Forest Cafe was the highlight of our trip to Kuranda! Nestled away in a side street off the main drag, Big Forest Cafe is the cutest and cosiest little spot and the rice burger we had (ginger pork and kimchi, and chicken teriyaki) was one of the best things we ate while holidaying in Cairns and its surrounding areas. We accidentally found this store after having the coffee at Kuranda coffee. This little cafe is really surprising us. Really yummy foods, very kind attitude and excellent customer service from the girl team member or probably owner? Even there is a bit waiting time but you have no complaints on it.
