Billy's coffee — Restaurant in Queensland

"Extra FROTH" travellers tip; if you want a traditional capacino with equal parts expresso, milk & crema foamy "froth" at Billy's (maybe all over Cans) just ask for extra FROTH, the result may not placate the Italiano, Milano, purists, fashionistas but its so much more satisfying then the "latte with chocolate powder on top" style that Cans seems to be eternally burdened with. The best part of Billy's is the friendly obliging service, that & the very reasonable prices (they must give an extra discount if you bring your own "keep" cup). The gallery space inside is ever changing & always worth the look, sometimes even brilliant local FNQ artists work. If it's not busy, I'm sure the workers (one of whom I'm sure is either Billy or son of Billy) would be receptive of a coffee conversation to improve there already excellent service & products. Billy's is an awesome spot for early morning coffee in Cairns. The coffee is outstanding and recently won a national award, coming third for their milk blend coffee.
