Very polite table service, bonless butter chicken tasted good but meat had several pieces of grissel attatched, steamed rice was not as nice as a rice i would make at home signifying they most likely use a far cheaper than a supermarket quality brand. On closer inspection of the rice it had an appearance not of a bright white colour but was greyish and some small black marks on some of the grains. Nann bread tasted as it was made from a much higher quality flour than i expected. So i was happy for a while. I was all ready to give these guys a decent review as i could hear the waitress telling a large table of consumers about why they should leave a good review untill i went to the counter and could see how filthy dirty the counter top and toilet doors right next to the kitchen were. I'm a car mechanic and we keep our bench tops work areas customer vehicles, customer waiting areas and touch areas a lot cleaner than what i was shocked to see in front of me after the quick meal I'd just eaten. This is appalling for a food restraunt, the no wipe no worries method of food safety was in bold and underlined policy here, i scoured at the a4 framed certificates on the wall from cairns council and food safe certification as i knew its only an 80 dollar online course. No overexaduration, literally thousands of greasy and grimey fingerprints all over the surfaces of the phone walls and every part of the counter that looked to be much browner the closer they get to around the dunny doors. I can't eat there again and nor should anyone who wants to eat from shops where at least one of the workers knows what the word hygene is. I had a strong feeling of Dheli belly hurting on the sight of the state of there point of service and the thoughts of what monsters live behind the grubby spring loaded barn door in the food prep area where from my meal had been scouped...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am From Sydney , I asked my Uber driver who was Indian , what is the best Indian restaurant in cairns, straight away he said Bombay kitchen without even thinking about it , I have eaten a lot of Indian up and down in Australia including many restaurants in Sydney. But I must say Bombay kitchen is the best Indian restaurant. food was so amazing & reasonably priced.we will be back. On top of that, a beautiful couple runs this restaurant very well. Highly recommend. When we reached a restaurant it was packed. I was thinking will get my food very late but to be very honest I received my food on genuine time. People working there seems really passionate and hard working. Itās next to impossible to give food to everyone on time Or very quick specially on busy days. But, some people are really cooperative and some are arrogant. I have to say if we really enjoy the food then the wait of us worth it and we should appreciate others. In short, enjoyed every single thing at Bombay kitchen from food to music and service everything were upto mark. I wish Indians should learn some basic manners while eating at restaurant donāt ask for free papdums or pickle and most important onion salad. It was so cheap which I have noticed next table to me asked for free stuff and making ugly faces. Very crazy indian customers I have seen there. Avoid pathetic people like them. Overall, great restaurant with great way to handle their work and having passion towards their profession. Highly recommended this place...
