We had breakfast here and we liked their prices. The sandwich slices on the double sandwich are thick. The breakfast wrap was quite drippy with water/liquid. I wished the hollandaise sauce was more flavourful as it is the hero that bonds it all. I think also the egg was over cooked, slightly under might have been good. There's a kids play area which our son enjoyed playing in. The babycinos are free!! How good is that!

I love visiting Boy Espresso! From consistent delicious coffee and food to outstanding service by the friendly team. The atmosphere is very inviting and great for all ages. The little play corner definitely makes it easier for mums to finally sit down and enjoy a lovely coffee and cake. My go to place every time! Thanks Carly and the Boy Espresso crew! :D

The decoration of the place looks good, it has a small space for kids and it had an enjoyable environment. The coffee was ok (a bit cold) and the food was disappointing ($14.5 for a small slice of bread with a bit of avocado and some leaves of spinach- see photo). I would come back for a coffee (to give a second chance) but not for the food.

Drove here specifically based on their 4.5 star reviews and food photos. Firstly, dine in wasn't explained (do you sit, do you order at the counter and wait at the table, or do you grab the coffee when you see it sitting on their counter). Signage and communication go a long way, and first impressions last. As I went to order, the girl told me they had no smashed avo and no pancakes. Based on the menu, that's the only two breakfast dishes they served that were not in their display cabinet.

So I ordered an oat latte and bacon and egg croissant.

Latte was good, hot, but no pattern. The coffee rim appeared dark, which means you taste more of the bitter part of the coffee unless you swirl the coffee and then milk as you're pouring 😉

Croissant: took two bites and put it on the side. Egg was cooked to death, and the menu states "lightly toasted", this looked like an over cook croissant and then re-toasted from the fridge. Ingredients were dry, and even the cheese couldn't bring moisture to my only breakfast choice.

Needless to say, I left and went for "breakfast" at a cafe rated 4.6 (will not name on here). My experience would have been ok, if the any of the girls behind the counter had any sense of customer service towards a new customer they have never met a d smiled and made light conversation with me as they were doing with each other behind the counter.

Perhaps I'll try again in a few months on a return trip. All the best with your...

Early morning service has been shocking lately. The lack in professionalism is quite disappointing. The coffee however is unreal and never lacks in taste. But putting the effort in service should also be just as important as making coffee. This morning they were not open at 5am and were standing at the counter chatting and eventually opened the doors well after 5. Now there were 4 people waiting and 1 person drove off. I did also make calls to the store and they literally hung up. To the managing team I’d definitely be questioning your staff. Conversation came up while waiting for the doors to open and others had also mentioned the service has been very bad in the last couple months! Open your doors at 5am like your website and store says. Put a smile on your face and serve your coffee. Cant apply to that...

Just had a coffee (5 stars) and smashed avo with feta (1 star). Coffee was great. Probably the best in town! But smashed avo was very disappointing. Portion size was very small with avocado on 3 thin strips of Turkish bread for $11.90. One piece was even an overcooked bit of end crust. Maybe they ran out of bread - but still charged for the full serve. I can only imagine how pathetically small the half serve would be! The sprinkled feta looked like small granules of salt - almost microscopic granules, so scarce they added virtually no flavour. At least there was the caramelised balsamic on spinach leaves for taste. Still, I was left hungry and dissatisfied. I would go back, but only for the...
