Go the servo instead. It will have the same food but more appropriately priced.
Having looked at the menu before eating here, we had the impression that this restaurant was a bit fancy since there is a limited meal selection and you pay per course rather than per meal, not to mention the price of the food. We went here for our anniversary dinner and suffice to say… thank god we have a good sense of humour. This place gave all the pzaz of a roadside motel bar. The venue is like eating in a converted office space so we sat outside by the road as it was the lesser of two evils. The food is seriously not worth the price. We had a calamari starter which was served in over-cooked chunks, a massaman curry which tasted like any non-distinct East Asian curry and was too sweet, and my partner had pork belly which was undoubtedly reheated from frozen, probably pre-packaged, had mushy crackling and ultimately gave him food poisoning. We had a Riesling which tasted and smelt like vinegar and so, believing that the bottle was perhaps out of date, we tried the Pinot Grigio and found it to be the same. I cannot stress enough how bizarre and disappointing Buddy Boy Kitchen is as a restaurant, nor can I fathom how and why this place has any good reviews. Highly do not recommend. Go the...
Read moreDisappointing. Asked customer service total booking and offered name and details. Advised that site/project manager did not want details details. Advised will arrive at 7.00pm (19:00 hours) Booked for 7.00pm. Would not take our name or phone no. Arrived at 7.00am. Told to sit anywhere. (Bizarre). Waited at table until 7:10pm. ⁹Went up to counter requesting order of tap water and drink. Not advised there will be no table service. As we were not approached I went to counter and placed order as no one approached us .. Ordered 2 chicken Schnitzel no gravy offered/suggested. 7:45 (19:45) Advised he was working by himself for the first time. Apologies from counter staff. Sat back down and ordered water and 2 glass of wine. I directly advised it was "2" glasses of wine to which he apologised and went back to the bar . Returned with my glass of wine. 7:56 pm (19:56) meal arrived. Apologies for the delay of 50 minutes. Chicken Schnitzel over cooked. No lemon or gravy offered or provided. I appreciate the situation, however it is not my business and it was poorly organised. Definitely training required. Strongly suggest a cert III in hospitality front of house and a qualified chef/cook Cert III in commercial cookery...
Read moreSorry but very disappointed. Waiter came to the table for our order with a list of what was not on the menu. That included no Barra, no chicken dishes, no pork dishes, no Dianne sauce and no cauliflower. Had a list a mile long on what was not available on the menu. I ordered a lamb dish and after being told their was no schnitzel or even chicken nuggets, the wife ended up ordering spaghetti. Very ordinary and won’t be back. Red Rooster had a bigger selection I believe… To continue… Ordered another drink. Wife requested a lemonade which turned up in a beer stein as we were told that “all the other glasses had been smashed”??? Anyhow the meals turned up. My lamb was cold and very limited with any form of flavour except for the taboolie that covered the plate and the wife’s meal a plate of spaghetti with virtually no meat and as children’s serving. Would rate the meal as very ordinary and as mentioned above would never return for another meal. Rate the place as a...
