We weren’t sure what to expect when we came here, especially after seeing a mix of reviews online, but our experience was absolutely outstanding! We went on a Wednesday night, and even though there was only one waiter, the service was excellent—attentive without being rushed, and our meals came out promptly. The cocktails were a real highlight: beautifully balanced, refreshing, and not overly sweet. We tried the Espresso Yourself and the Italian Ginger Mule—both spot on, and very fairly priced for the quality. For food, we ordered the Lemon Thyme Barramundi and the Pappardelle al Tartufo. Both were full of flavour and generous in serving size. The fish was excellent quality, fresh, and cooked perfectly—It’s the kind of food where you can tell the chef really cares about what’s coming out of the kitchen. We also had to try dessert, sharing the chocolate crepe and the Profiterole Halo. Both were beautifully done and absolutely delicious. It’s not often you find food and service this good in a smaller town, and we left really impressed, full, and happy. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Was looking for somewhere to have dinner during our 2 night stay in Emerald, and wasn’t disappointed that I picked Capricornia. I had the duck breast salad for entree and then the Portuguese Lamb for main course. I thoroughly enjoyed both courses. The staff were friendly and polite and I would be happy to recommend this restaurant to others.

The restaurant had a nice layout, allowing people to have their space when dining. And the service was good. But unfortunately this place fell short as the food didn’t taste fresh and that evening both me & my partner felt quite unwell. This place has good potential but the food needs reviewing.

We came here in May 2025. It was a little hard to see from the road in the evening. As it sits back from the road. I was quite taken back as to how stylish and atmosphere was inviting. There was plenty of space between tables, for some privacy. High back chairs were very comfortable. We did pre book before coming. It was very popular with large local business groups and young couples. The interior and decor was very clean. We were very pleased with our meals being, Barramundi and vegetables, Chicken breast in a nice white wine cream sauce and vegetables. Service was excellent. Prices were reasonable. And easy to have a conversation. And if you’re heading to far north QLD, I recommend The Tin Shed at Port Douglas. I recommend a reservation for this business. And the Cattlemen’s Steakhouse at Richmond Hill in Charters Towers. Also popular with the locals. And the Carrollee Hotel in Kingaroy. Woolgoolga RSL for fine dining lunch or dinner Mid...

Very beautiful for Emerald, it’s the nicest place in Emerald. Me and my partner got the crocodile spring rolls and WOW so nice! And they are really large aswell! My partner had the bbq ribs and he said it had lots of flavour and good portion. Chips were okay also. I had the Portuguese lamb Espetada and it was larger than shown in photos, very filling I couldn’t finish it all and I’m a big eater! Could have had more flavour but was nice, the mashed potato had no flavour however was edible with added salt. The staff were fantastic and very catering and professional. Such a nice interior and exterior area. Will be coming back especially for the crocodile spring rolls! They have...
