Chow In — Restaurant in Queensland

We tried the buffet tonight. Well my husband did. There were too many sweet dishes for me to attempt it. I realise that this is what is popular in Mackay but could i suggest that the chicken/fish be served without the sauce so that people could add their own? I detest anything with honey sauce and prefer lemon or sweet chilli that I can add at home. My husband said the chicken and fish were beautifully cooked.

I ordered from the menu and found the satay chicken very sweet with no heat. Again, this could be what customers like. I added my own satay sauce to the dish and it was much better. Chicken was cooked perfectly but there was a lack of green vegetables and this is probably due to supply at this time. The wait time was minimal so awesome service!

Next time, we will stick to the menu as the meals we had then were...

DO NOT EAT HERE!!The worst meal I’ve ever had!! This is the worst asian restaurant. The food was absolutely disgusting, the chicken was revolting and looks microwaved!! The lemon sauce that came with it was a VERY UNNATURAL Fluoro yellow colour. The laksa tasted like sewerage. So so disgusing, don’t bother looking at the good reviews, this place does not make edible food. After trying one bite we decided to throw away our food and make ourselves cheese toastie. Won ton soup broth was tasteless and felt it was watered down. They put a heap of cauliflower in my chicken and vegetables, completely ruined it. The women who delivered the food didn't knock, decided to yell out the front of my unit door instead. I had to season it myself to get the flavor up to an eatable standard.

I have changed the review from a 1 to 4 star, the manager of Chow in called me and only too helpful on the phone. Its understandably mistakes are made and when eating with Chow In in the past, there food was always good.
