Food was average, so very expensive for what we got. Desserts were Sara Lee style, factory made. Which would get them 3 stars.
The service was next level bad. It was so bad it was almost funny. The lady that sat us took our drink order and disappeared for an hour leaving one young fella on his own to run food and make cocktails and bring drinks. And about 15 tables of 2. Poor bloke, clearly had no training at cocktail making, so not his fault clearly, he was run of his feet with no support, but also muttering to himself as he was running around the floor.
So it took forever to take our order an hour at least. Longer for drinks ordering them twice, tables came in after us and got mains to the table before we got first drinks.
When the host came back he got knocked off or quit as he left in the middle of service, dropping off cocktails to a table with his helmet and backpack on his way out the door. Then a bartender rocked up at 830 kind of when it was all over. It was like a scene from Gordon Ramsey TV show. They could have made another $100 of us easily, if they just brought us our drinks.
The owners should what Gordon Ramsey reruns and figure out how to run a resturant.
If they put half the effort into actually running the place as they did into the design it would probably be good. Maybe we went on a really bad night but won't...

Read moreWe came to Fusion128 for a special lunch to celebrate Mum’s birthday — and walked away absolutely blown away. This wasn’t just lunch… it was an experience.
I had the Thai curry – packed with flavour, rich and creamy with just the right spice. My partner’s seafood pasta? Unreal. Loaded with fresh seafood, cooked to perfection – one of the best we've had anywhere, full stop.
Dad went for the classic parmi – crispy, saucy, cheesy goodness done right. And the star of the show? Mum’s barramundi. On her birthday no less – and she said, word for word, “That’s the best barramundi I’ve ever had.” And she’s a tough critic!
A few drinks in, we were already feeling like we’d struck gold with this place… then the unexpected magic trick hit us out of nowhere. Mind blown. Seriously, even if you don’t come for the food (but you should), come for the magic. Insane.
The service was top-notch, warm, and friendly — they made Mum feel genuinely special, which meant a lot. You don’t always get that personal touch, but Fusion128 nailed it.
🎉 Fusion128 made Mum’s birthday unforgettable. Incredible food, great vibe, top service, and magic to top it all off? Mackay, this place is a must. Lunch, dinner, birthday or just because — do...
