Visited this restaurant on 4/10/2020 as a group of 5 adults and 5 children. We had a booking for 5pm and were shown to our table quickly. An entertaining singing duo was playing at a comfortable volume. We ordered cocktails and beer for the adults and soft drinks for the kids which took about 15 minutes to arrive. We ordered 2 serves of meatballs for entrees and 4 pork belly and 1 steak for mains and pizzas, chicken nuggets and ice cream for the kids. The waitress did not use a pad and we asked if she would remember the order, she said she should be ok. After about an hour, one of the waittesses apologized for the entrees and pizzas not arriving and offered free cocktails for the adults as compensation. The duly arrived and were very nice. Sometime later the entrees arrived and were quite good. After over an hour later our mains had not arrived. The bottle of Shiraz we ordered arrived as a bottle of white wine which was replaced. We were considering leaving when we were told that the food would be very soon. The mains arrived and I would have to say that the pork belly was the worst I have ever had. There was a piece of leather with some dry, stringy meat attached served upside down on a bed of mashed potatoes and beans. A very nice jus accompanied it. The steak was quite nice. All the pork bellies were the same. I would not have thought that any chef would have allowed such a meal to leave his kitchen. The children's ice cream was forgotten. We told one of the many waitresses we had about the meal. She said she would tell the chef but was observed just dropping the plates off and walking away. Booked in advance for 5:45pm, so we could skip the rush hour and eat early with our toddler. Service was not good from the start: the girl cringed when we asked to change table (it was Monday and empty) and we were not told about day specials. 5min later we are ready to order, but the phone starts ringing non stop for takeaways. Suddenly, a queue of walk-ins and pickups is formed. I and other guests had to join the queue to order our food. At my turn, I mentioned the reason why I was at the queue and I had a hungry toddler with me. It didn't help: everyone got served by order time, and we got our food at 7pm, entertaining the bored kid for 1:15h. Salmon was fantastic, but prawn pizza should be renamed capsicum pizza w/prawns. Salt & pepper were not offered. I tried getting some olive oil, but had to join the queue again as I was ignored by the waiters at the table and at the queue.They walked by me at least 5 times and didn't mind seeing a late-service-sitting-customer standing there on the line, again. I had to give up. The 2 stars went for the salmon and the setting (even if there are 2 garbage bins at the entrance). Formerly Kahunas but carries over well and provides quite a varied menu option. Meal proportions were generous and quality and taste terrific.

We had a group of 9 with 3 children 10, 5 and the other 18 months. We pre-ordered the kiddies meal cause we could not get a table until 6.30pm.

Had a call, before arriving, advising one of the children’s options not available (great follow up service), for the 10 year old. On arrival service terrific. We’re advised again the option for the 10 year old not available.

First kiddies meals arrive, the meal for the 10 year old that we were told was not available, then the substitute meal ordered to replace it, doh!!

Did I mention the meals were terrific ... they were.

Unfortunately there was, for us, a few calamities with meal and drink service - bottle of wine ordered not delivered, special chicken Vietnamese salad not available, substitute Vietnamese beef salad not delivered until after a calamari meal was delivered (but it was not ordered - it was returned).

Staff very patient and friendly, we figure it just happened to be a very unfortunate set of mix ups. The meals were terrific, and that reflects in the rating...
