Surgo (pronounced Sir go) — Restaurant in Queensland

Well, it's difficult to comment on the food or the cocktails at Surgo for that matter as we were not welcome. We were told we couldn't sit outside with our 2 well behaved small dogs. This must be the least dog friendly place in Agnes Water & a complete polar opposite to all the other pet friendly establishments in this town. We moved on & spent our money at Codies Place instead where we were made to feel very welcome & the cocktails & food were very much enjoyed. I really don't like establisments hiding behind statements & saying "we can't allow dogs" when its not that they can't allow dogs but instead its they don't want to allow dogs! Really disappointed with my experience at Surgo. Was served by a British lady who was the rudest server. Served us rotten oysters and when we asked for a refund gave us one but it never came into our accounts… our drinks didn’t arrive until 40 minutes after the initial order and the cocktails came first, boys had beers which didn’t come until another 10 minutes after, I will say the young girl who served us was lovely and apologetic but the drinks were basically warm and had obviously been sitting on the bench for a while. Finally asked to speak to the head chef who said she would give us a refund… to tip it off when we checked our accounts (on HAPPY HOUR) she had overcharged us!!! So really not happy with...

The perfect spot for a long boozey lunch after a morning at the beach. We asked the owner Tayla to select a variety of food for us as everything on the menu looked too good to choose, and she did not disappoint! We drank and ate SO MUCH, including dessert and every dish complimented each other so well.
