We experienced a little time warp dining at this venue. The only thing missing from 1980s Australia was the iceberg lettuce in the salad.
Now living on the same street as this restaurant, when repeatedly trying to book the answer was either they are closed or had a function on. A call out of the blue one day secured a table.
We were one out of only two tables booked this night. The dining area is reasonably large given the size of the adjoining motel. A polite and well dressed lady of SE Asian (Thai?) appearance greeted us and served us throughout the evening.
The menu was extensive, if dated. Internal decor was also a little vintage with a dominant feature wall. Being married for well over a decade, we didn't have too much to talk about on a weeknight so were happy when the calamari entrée arrived.

The mains were very keenly priced, and my T-Bone was cooked perfectly medium rare whilst being well seasoned. And surprisingly tender. I'd argue this is the best T-Bone I've eaten in the region - big call but well deserved. Sauce appeared to be an adulterated packet mix and could be improved upon.
My wife wasn't overly happy with her crumbed lamb cutlets - dry and lacking flavour although the chips and vegetables made up for this with great taste and texture.
I'd return just for the steak - it's fantastic...

It is a very quiet little restaurant -- there are usually only a few other people dining there, which creates a nice atmosphere and is unusual for Toowoomba.
The meals are reasonably priced, and there is a wide variety to suit all tastes.
I strongly recommend...
