I can't recommend this Cafe highly enough. As soon as we sat down for breakfast we were greeted with a warm smile and table water. We ordered the king breakfast crepe and received an enormous rectangular plate filled with bacon and eggs wrapped in an a huge crepe, with sausage, tomato, hash brown, mushrooms and sauce. More than enough to make you sleepy after breakfast! Some notes about the food on the plate; the bacon is short cut, no fat is left on the bacon, the sauce serving is quite large, and the mushrooms are lightly buttered, but still delicious. This means when you look at your plate as you eat your meal, you don't see fat or oil left behind on your plate, because the staff have minimised it already. Quite thoughtful and such a delicious experience. We did see some of the awesome speciality shakes on offer in the store. Very impressive! The Cafe also has a curtain at the door preventing flies from entering and pestering you during your meal, which is almost unheard of in Townsville! Again, I highly recommend this Cafe. Its obvious the staff care for their customers and it shows in the thought that goes...
Read moreReally surprised this place is so highly rated. What an experience.
Spent $20 on a burger that had two paper thin pieces of chicken (more crumb than chicken, unfortunately) with one of chicken pieces being the equivalent of eating rubber. My partner got the chilli chicken crepe which was completely doused in store bought chilli oil (Lao Gan Ma) to the point where there were no other flavours present.
We were hoping that the waffle would be the saving grace but it turned out to be the biggest disappointment of them all. It was a small, lonesome waffle that was obviously from a packet and I don't think they even bothered to heat it up. The ice cream was cheap and watery.
It's completely unacceptable to sell pre-made, store bought waffles with a drizzle of chocolate sauce and a cut up strawberry for $15-19.
The chips were alright, but not enough to save it. Very...
Read moreDisappointing. First we walk in to find one of the workers kids playing videos on their ipad at full volume in the dinning area drowning out conversation. I ordered the five elements breakfast which was extremely underwhelming considering it cost $22.50. Bread was far from toasted, zero seasoning on anything. Eggs were cold. The Iced coffee i ordered was warm. My partner ordered a cappuccino and for some reason it was brought out to the table in a take away cup.... a few other people sat down and water was brought to their table. No water was brought to our table and i had to borrow salt and pepper from another persons table. Im pretty tolerant when it comes to hospitality as i know it can be stressful at times. But this was either a case of zero care or lack of experience. Wont be going back and definitely wont be...
