Usually not too bad, sometimes the toppings don't quite cover the pizza, sometimes they miss the sauce swirl, but not too bad. Tonight however, I ordered at 630pm, and it gave me a delivery time of 750pm. No worries, they must be busy... At 830pm, 2 hours after ordering, the tracking showed that my order was still being prepared. It wasn't even in the oven yet. So I tried calling. Twice. They didn't pick up the phone. So I drove to the store, where they informed me that the system had placed other orders in front of mine. Asked would I like them to cook mine straight away. Of course I would. My kids are sitting at home waiting for their dinner, their once a week takeout treat. Then they ask if I'd like anything extra for the inconvenience, a drink, a garlic bread. I said I already have a drink and 2 garlic breads on the order. So they left that there. No offer to comp even part of my meal, no offer of any kind of voucher or anything for next time, just, OK... Even though I'm now, on top of the wait, picking up the order I paid for delivery on. Very hungry, and very disappointed.
Finally got my order at 850pm, got it home, amd low and behold, no swirl on my Smokey Chicken and Bacon... Looks like it'll be Domino's...

I had made a $60 plus order and rather than the driver follow the instructions given, lied and gaslit me to as why he wouldn't leave the delivery for me as instructed.
Feeling disgusted, disgruntled, somewhat apprehensive and feeling an unusual type of anger, the type where you know someone has deliberately intended to undermine you, I met him to collect the order in person, at which point he was discourteous in language in how he addressed me, pretended not to understand me when I corrected his erroneous use of language, had the gall to ask me whether the order was mine and was in action holding my meal and the money that financed it hostage.
This was a terrible experience and very disheartening, as I had been robbed by a different delivery driver and let down by the organisation the driver represented earlier in the week, all the while I was recovering from several injuries sustained throughout the week, which limited my mobility.

Read moreWe have has a few pizzas from the Hut over the last couple of months but tonight I received my regular order of a Butchers Block pizza which was very disappointing. Called the shop and spoke with a very apologetic employee (I'm so sorry I missed his name) who said he would inform his manager who was currently on break. I asked when I'd receive a call back and he said 15 minutes. I received the call back in about 2 minutes and Aiden apologised and requested photo evidence of the sub par pizza which I provided over the phone while I was still speaking with him. He agreed that the pizza was not up to standard and personally remade a replacement which was delivered not long after my phone call. This pizza was much better. We sent the below average pizza back with the delivery driver in the hopes that it provides valuable feedback for other staff members. Thank you to all the staff at Pizza Hut at the Lakes.
