Well I’m not one to leave a bad review and I know it’s mcdonalds so expectations are never high but my god were the staff rude! I waited for 20 minutes in the restaurant for my food, no member of staff even asked me what I was waiting for while standing there. While waiting I watched a few members of staff be rude to other customers chucking there food on the side and shouting their orders out without any bother to be kind, I know it’s McDonald’s at the end of the day and it’s probably not a fun job but your in a customer service job so you could at least show a bit of care towards your customers. I thought it had been a while since I’d ordered my food and then realised it had been 20 minutes so I asked a member of staff where my food is for them to then look blank at me and say “oh is that one yours over there? We’re waiting for the hash browns” turns out the rest of my food had been sitting there getting cold while they waited for hash browns.. 20 minutes for 2 hash browns. I’d also ordered a hot cross bun which was given to me cold with no butter so I asked for it be heated as ordered and then waited another 10 minutes for them to go off and toast it so yeah it’s safe to say there was no care given by the staff and I would of at least appreciated someone telling me why my food was taking so long or given me the rest to eat before it went cold. I wonder how many people are treated like this on a daily basis in this place...
Read moreThe customer microphones used in the drive through here are very obviously defective. 50/50 chance they'll completely mishear your order. Its happened to me multiple times, which is a slight, but persistent frustration.
Today, however, I ordered chips and a frappe. Everything was going suspiciously smoothly until I got to the food window, where I was told the frappe machine was being refilled and asked to move forward to the waiting bay (the inclusion of such a bay in itself, a tacit admission from McDonalds that it frequently can't serve customers in a timely fashion). But whatever, no big deal right? I can afford to wait a few minutes.
After about a ten minute wait I enter the store and am seen by the young lady who told me to move to the waiting bay. The entirely unconcerned look on her face tells me that this isn't a particularly unusual or alarming event.
Of course my chips and frappe are well and truely ready, although the frappe has a generous amount of milk smeared on the outside of the cup - a classic Maccas manoeuvre, sure to make a mess of your cupholder. I tell her 'This is very poor service' and complete her job by delivering the order to my car, since I'm a top bloke.
All in all quite an unsatisfactory experience. But damn son, have you tasted those salted caramel frappes?

Read moreI ordered some food via a kiosk machine and I pressed yes to printing a receipt. After ordering and paying it asked if I wanted the receipt, I pressed yes.The machine seemed to be broken as it would not print it and the screen said “would you like to retry”. When I pressed yes it didn’t work so one of the ladies working there said to just press no. I told her that I wanted the receipt. I needed the receipt as I won’t remember how much my order was and I needed to record my spendings. She then pressed the no button but that didn’t work on the machine either. She said she would print it so I went to the cashier and patiently waited for over 5 minutes. The information from the kiosk machine didn’t seem to save so there were multiple failed attempts at printing the receipt again at the cashier. All of this was done with a scowl on her face. She called over multiple workers and they didn’t know either. They just retyped the order but the receipt printer at the cashier didn’t work either. So they fixed the receipt printer and retyped the order again, finally getting it to print. The lady then said something along the lines of “Here is the receipt OK OK!” in a rude tone. I understand that she could of had a stressful day but all I was asking for was the receipt so I don’t get why she had to have a rude tone....
