I often visit Miss India because I always find the store to be clean and the food to be amazing and the staff are lovely.
Unfortunately I can’t say the same about last nights visit. I wasn’t going to write a review but I don’t appreciate being spoken to rudely.
We order 4 XL half and half meals. I, as always got the butter chicken. When my partner got home with it I found a black hair, around 5cm long in my food. I let it slide because it’s not a issues I’ve had before. But there was a second hair, same colour and length so I rang to let them know.
My partner called them and tried to explain what had happen but the girl on the other end assumed we were placing an order. I then spoke and explained what had happen and she told me she would call me back. No more then 5 minutes later I got a call back but spoke with a different lady who read my original order out to me and told me my partner paid with card so there was no change. Completely confused I told her again that wasn’t why I was calling and explained I had found 2 hairs in my food. She then started to become rude. Told me they had never had that complaint and no one had complained that night. I expressed that I was simply telling her what had happened as I’m sure they would want to know. She then told me it was probably string some the spices or something in the food. Again I told her it was hair.
She told me to return to the store before 9. My partner went back and was spoken to rudely, told that we had told them 2 different stories (we never said ANYTHING about change. They got confused on their end) and due to store policy we were given a another meal - a small - and sent on our way.
My partner has told me we’re nothing ever going back there as he pulled white fluff from his goat no more then hour after returning...
Read moreI came in expecting a proper dining restaurant with table service and plated meals, but it turned out to be more of a takeaway-style setup. Food was served in plastic containers and paper bags, which gave it more of a tuckshop vibe than a dine-in experience.
There was no greeting when we arrived, and overall customer service was lacking. The lady behind the counter was yelling to the kitchen every few minutes, which made it hard to relax and enjoy our meal.
While the food wasn’t bad, plenty of chicken/meat and flavour not the best tho, it was quite expensive—as is often the case with Indian food—and the lack of service made it feel like poor value. We had to manage everything ourselves even ask for a plate!. It was disappointing to see a place that looks like a restaurant operate more like a self-service takeaway.
The high chair provided was also filthy and clearly hadn’t been cleaned in some time.
I’d suggest improving customer service, keeping yelling to a minimum, and offering printed order dockets to make things smoother. Overall, I probably wouldn’t...
Read moreUsed to come here literally 2ish times a week, from what I remembered it was fluffy gooey nahn bread (cheese and garlic), moist chicken and an absolute steal of a price... today will be the last day I will ever get Miss India Bundaberg again, the nahn was CRUNCHY!? And dry, Whole garlic chunks, little cheese, the chicken was so dry I actually couldn’t finish it, not only that but the price was just mind blowing expensive - especially for the quality of today I am SO dissatisfied and disappointed. Just to add to the dissatisfaction the lady was SO rude and could hardly answer any questions I have. From an awesome $7.95 lunch special with extra for an amazing flavoured nahn to dry flavourless $17.95 later, I’d rate...
