Roll’d Smithfield — Restaurant in Queensland

I didn't enjoy this. I ordered a dish called rare beef noodle soup. The beef was not rare, it was tough & chewy and the soup was bland. The noodles were good.

If the photos look bland (no greens) it's because I ordered them that way, it's not an oversight by the restaurant.

On a slightly different subject, I don't like the practice of using an app / website to order the food when I'm sitting at the restaurant. To begin with I need to provide an email address. I don't understand why anyone needs to harvest my data because I want to eat lunch. Worse, the app / website needed to record my debit or credit card number. Who is this company that wants my confidential information? What are their security credentials? Have they ever had a data leak? Have they ever been hacked? I have no idea, which is why I don't want to provide information. (The app / website service is Mr Yum Pty Ltd -- you can do your own research as to their credentials.)

The only positive part of the ordering process is I wasn't forced to use it. I could go to the cash register & order there. I shudder to think what'll happen when that option isn't available any more. I guess at that point I'll...

I’ve been here many time however this time I had an order that had ingredients missing, I go up to the counter to ask for the ingredients to be put on the roll and one of the staff decided to tell me I was wrong and started giving me attitude.

I work in hospitality and understanding what it’s like however this behaviour is not ok towards customers.

It makes me feel like I don’t want to come back even when I do enjoy the food and the other staff are normally lovely
