After a lovely drive out to Boonah, on a sunny Sunday, we were a little late for lunch hour. After experiencing indifference at our first choice for coffee and food, and seeing they had virtually nothing left to serve to customers we left. They weren't interested in helping us.. but in packing up to close. We asked for another possible place for coffee and eats, but we're told... nothing around.. As we left, we looked a few doors down the street, and saw bright blue umbrellas, and outdoor seating.. and discovered SANDIE LEE'S KITCHEN ! We saw a good display of food and drinks offered inside.. and customers eating in this place. The staff were FRIENDLY and nothing was too much trouble😊 The cappuccinos were frothy and delicious, and we ordered chips and gravy for two.. which would have fed more with such a generous serve. CUSTOMER SERVICE , DELICIOUS food, FRIENDLY staff, and a cute interesting cafe. I happily RECOMMEND you find her.. and eat there if you are a local.. or passing through as we were. SANDIE LEE'S KITCHEN, gets the business, BECAUSE...they deliver what CUSTOMERS want and expect. Highly...
Read moreOnce a local I decided to go for a weekend drive to Boonah for a bite to eat and explore, Spotted Sandie Lee's, looked inviting kitchen was busy, Great Cafe setting plenty of seating.
Was tempted by many things on the menu but when I spotted Home made lasagne I had to give it a go, Partner ordered a pulled beef open melt.
The service was easy and fast however the servings for both meals alittle small especially looking around at other people's meals.
The lasagne was steaming hot from the microwave and was far from home-made, Was ready made frozen lasagne, If im wrong please prove it but the lasagne I got was far from home-made and was actually disappointing on every level. The Chips are good cooked well and seasoned well.
The open melt was okay nothing really special but was better then the lasagne
I'm of the opinion if you can't give whats advertised then don't offer it at all.
We ate and thought yeah that was average and left I don't think we would go back next time go to elite meats and buy the delicious ham and fresh bread from bakery and go...
Read moreA spacious hustling cafe in the heart of Boonah. We visited on an extreemly busy Sunday morning when it was literally packed to the rafters. They have large and small tables that easily seat 6 - 8 people or a couple without fuss. This is the best of country cafe's with fast personal service, simple mainstream menu and everything cooked to perfection. Good country prices! If you're visiting from Brissy you'll freak out at the bang for ya buck. So refreshing to be served by a mature efficient hospitality worker that navigated the counter like a bus station in peak hour. This woman and her personality made our day. Some missing drink orders were resolved very quickly. Coffee is ok, not strong but a good average blend. Turnover is quick with the cafe emptying in no time due to the efficiency of the staff. Rustic solid furniture, decorated with local country artwork, even the toilet is lovely and plant filled. Everything is...
