Sang's Asian Fusion — Restaurant in Queensland

I have had a great experience here and a terrible one. I recently went to Sang's for a work lunch and the food was beautiful and service was great. I told my husband I wanted to go back soon and tonight the opportunity for a date night arose. We called ahead to book a table and we're told we were not able to book for only two but try calling when we were 10 minutes away and they'd see if they had room for us. We decided to chance it and just walked in. They were very busy but we were shown to a table and asked if we would like water. We said yes please but they forgot until someone came to take our orders and asked again. During this time we chatted about how hot it was inside the restaurant. Water arrived, a total two pieces of ice in the jug and room temperature. They took a while to come and take our orders but we placed our orders and got our drinks and started but then waited... And waited... And waited. The restaurant was emptying around us, still waiting. In the end, after well over an hour of waiting post starter and feeling quite sweaty, we decided we would prefer to cancel our order and left. I will eat at Sang's again, but pre-ordered...

Unfortunately today (Thursday) wasn't a good experience here. We ordered drinks after 20 mins of waiting for our order to be taken then they took forever to arrive to our table! We ordered our food at the same time as drinks, which took well over an hour to arrive but in dribs and draps! 2 other tables came in about half an hour after us, and they were served first with their meals whilst we still waited, plus the table next to us also waited too. Service was not very good at all, they should have had extra staff on. One on drinks, one serving, others bringing food out at a regular pace! This was the worst service we have experienced yet in the number of times we've been! We noticed that the takeaway food was served a lot quicker than within the restaurant itself too. The takeaway is a priority yes, but I'd say the customers inside the restaurant are more of a priority though. One person on takeaway in this case and when that's slow use that person to help serve the food! Food was good for most of us, one or two...

Atmosphere was great, never got our full order, garlic prawns were gross, no flavour other than onion, veggie consisted of onion, capsicum and a few green beans, the prawns were tasteless, supposed to be sizzling, came out Luke warm on a cold platter. Husband's drink never came, water tasted nasty too. The combination sizzling hot pot was great. Explained to the waitress that he food was cold, she said the hot pot wasn't in the oven long enough. We left the prawns and shared the combo. They tried to charge us for both pots and the drinks, which never came. Again I mentioned that the food was cold and tasteless. Just an apology, and we will try to do better next time. No offer of refund other than removing the drinks from our order, which never came to the...
