Coffee Club Civic Centre Noosaville.
I placed an order for 2 double shot latte's and specifically asked the coffee be served in the small glasses.. something I always do.. when asked by the cashier if we were dining in. We sat at the coffee club tables just outside the club. Our two coffees arrived, one in a glass and one in a takeaway cup which is slightly larger than the glasses and therefore the coffee comes weaker. I pointed out to the male who delivered them that I did not order a take away and can he please bring the other latte in a glass cup as ordered. Well to our astonishment he bought back the same weak looking coffee in a glass cup that was dribbling down the glass and into the saucer and it looked like a weak flat white! The takeaway had been poured into the glass!! With time constraints, we didn't have the time to wait..the time it takes.. for them to make another decent strong latte, so my husband drank it! He did not enjoy it and decided to make a complaint to the supervisor before leaving. As far as this woman was concerned we got what we ordered?? This supervisor also said it was our fault, she just made what was on the order slip? Cashier mistake?? When questioning her quite rightly on how she deducted it was our fault, a man suddenly appeared from the kitchen and placed his hand on my husbands shoulder and told him it was time to leave? My husband is 78? He was visibly shaken by this response! Do they even understand that people have busy lives that do not have time for their stuffups and do they realise that if your paying for an extra strong coffee..a latte that has a degree of creamy creama on top.. that's what you expect to get? I have been a regular coffee club customer whenever shopping either at Gympie or Noosaville through the years and this particular club has always had issues with slow service or getting the order wrong. It's convenient for us to have coffee there and so we have, but not anymore! The issues are specific to this coffee club. In the past when having a coffee at the Gympie CClub, if they made a mistake with the order, it was corrected with a fresh coffee, with a smile and apology! Not excuses...that we would have to pay for another..if we wanted another one..not the point..as this supervisor informed my husband and would we get what we ordered the third...
Read moreAs a self confessed coffee snob have to say I don’t do franchises often and this was only my 2nd visit to a CC and my first was about 10yrs ago! But I found myself at Noosa Civic with time on my hands, waiting to get a key cut, and I thought to myself, bugger it, I’ll get a coffee !
Imagine my surprise then when the resulting small flat white was well made and well presented, and tasted better than expected for a franchise offering!
The coffee itself was smooth and creamy with notes of caramel, butterscotch, and almond biscotti, with only a slight hint of bitterness on the back palate!
And the coffee had good mouthfeel and creamy texture - just what you would expect from a well made coffee and was overall a very enjoyable coffee !
Hats off to a franchise for getting it right!
Service was pleasant enough without being overly inviting, and the bottle of water that I requested never arrived.
But the muted pastel tones and of the venue provided a pleasant space to dwell in, and I found myself enjoying the space more than I thought I would !
I’ve given the place four out of five stars overall, the coffee was certainly very well add and the flavours were good. And I would have rated the venue five stars if the customer service just a little more enticing.
But quibbling aside a very enjoyable experience and...
Read moreAfter checking out several Cafe's for breakfast we chose The Coffee Club in the Noosa Civic Mall because of the vibe of locals enjoying their coffee, breakfast, meeting, chatting, all creating a welcoming ambience. This cafe has the usual Coffee Club elements, wavy design carpets, coordinated walls, and large colourful mood graphics, but added to these are, huge colourful modern paintings all painted by a local artist and are for sale. For added visual stimulous there is a large TV, with many comfortable sofas to watch from. If you prefer people watching, tables outside in the Mall cater for this too. We chose from their excellent menu, Classic bacon, eggs, tomato and toast, and a Life style breakfast, toasted turkish, bread topped with 97% fat free ham, avocado, cheese and poached eggs, served with a grilled tomato, both of these meals were perfect in preparation and presentation, and of a very generous serve, we relaxed and enjoyed the supplied newspapers and free WiFi. The staff were confident, friendly, helpful and welcoming which explains it's popularity with the locals, complimenting the excellent food, living up to the Coffee Club logo, Good Food, Great Service,...
