The Coffee Club — Restaurant in Queensland

We've been to this Coffee Club many many times. We've been put up with the attitude of the staff that's not very friendly. The wait time has always been the problem here and sometimes it takes too long for the food and drinks to come out, while the staff most of the time don't look so busy. I always order the Acai Berry Smoothie every time I go to any Coffee Clubs in Australia, especially the one in Margaret street, Toowoomba that serves the best Acai Berry Smoothie. So yesterday, I went to the Coffee Club in Northpoint Shopping Center and ordered the Acai Berry Smoothie. It came out looking like a Frappe. The girl who took my order went outside to wipe tables after putting our drinks on the table. So I asked a guy and and an older lady who happened to be talking behind the cash register, about what they think about the drink I had; whether it looked like a Frappe to them or an Acai Berry Smoothie. I asked nicely. My gesture was far from being upset. Instead of giving me smiles and said something like, "Hi there, is there something wrong?" or "Hi, what can I do to help?" , the guy just pointed her finger to the girl who made my drink. That's it. No smiles, no friendly chat....nothing!. The older lady didn't even say anything. So the girl who made me the drink said, "Oh yes, it's the smoothie. It's just got too much ice", she said. In my head, if it's got too much ice that means it's a Frappe! Not smoothie!. The girl was nice and asked if it's ok. But I couldn't be bothered to say, "No, it's not ok" and had her to change my drink just because I didn't wanna deal with the other two, who by the way, still didn't say anything nor smiles. Will never go...

Our usual Monday morning tea or lunch stop. Visited today at 12.10 and placed order of a fresh ham and cheese sand,iced tea and cheesecake. Iced tea and cheesecake arrived within a couple of minutes. At 12.45 tried to get waitress attention but she said she'd be back in a minute.When she came back I told her I was still waiting after 35min for a fresh ham and cheese sand and she said it would be out in a minute. So out came a toasted sand which was nicely presented cut into triangles. I said that isn't my order as I specifically asked for a fresh sandwich.Without apologies she went back into kitchen and returned with two thick slices of stale bread unbuttered with a slice of cheese and a piece of shaved ham inside.This wasn't cut at all just the full square of toasting bread. When I asked for a knife 🔪 to cut it she appeared to ignore me.So had to get up to the counter to ask again for a knife 🔪. This bread was so hard and dry to cut. All this took place with only four tables being seated and plenty of staff to attend them. This will be our last visit to Northpoint...

So Very disappointed!!! Ordered meal at 10.34 and never got it delivered until 11.08..... got coffee way too early, was cold before we got our meal.... Asked if they had thin ordinary bread when ordering one meal... was told Yes, but when received order the bread was thick, and toasted, never wanted toasted..... Obviously the staff who took the order never listened........... bacon and eggs were cold, I think they were reheated in the microwave as bacon was extremely dry...... On the receipt was charged $1.40 on top of the $8.00 we paid for our cappuccinos.....for what I can only imagine was the plastic cups.... And then charged $4.85 for 15% public holiday loading. At no time was I told, or was there appropriate notification that it would be charged...... I will never ever use Coffee Clubs again..... wanted to treat my Elderly Mother to a nice brunch, BUT it was such a disappointing experience. Even my Mum commented and she rarely complains. Lucky You got one star..... wanted to give...
