Monday 27th May. 9pm. Food was good. Service was abhorrent. The British girl with shoulder length blonde hair and a nose ring should be spoken too and possibly sacked. Firstly, my partner and I came in to ask when the kitchen closes, because we had some “VIP passes”. She had no idea about the passes, she was also very rude and acted like she had 100 better things to be doing than speaking to us. Instead of asking another employee about the passes, she goes “go to the food till” She shuffled us over to the food ordering window. We order. Fine. We sit outside wait for the food. Food comes. Cool. My partner goes inside to ask the same blonde haired chick for two plates. She throws her hands up “This bars closed!!” Before even asking what we needed. We aren’t two drunk jerks walking around the place off our heads. We are dining in. A simple “hey what can I do for you” before ..again being very rude would of done. We are both bartenders and waiters in town...and let me tell ya girl there’s a 150 backpackers way more pleasant than you waiting to take your job. So I would work on your people skills. Not to mention the food caddy with cutlery, salt, pepper, napkins a was removed from our table when we were this far into our...

NOT All you can eat. We were a table of 5 this evening ( Wednesday 28th ) we arrived at 7.00pm. Very soon after we order our " all you can eat tacos " accompanied with a round of drinks. 30 minutes later we receive our first batch of tacos 4 each. We then get told they are running low and will do there best to cater for us (even if that means other items on the menu). We order 3 each and they finally arrive at 8.30. Other than the long wait and the uncertainty if we would get more tacos the night was going well. It's take a turn when we are told there are no more tacos and they will not be giving us any more food. Let me give you an idea of the size of the food. 6 inch taco with 2 small pieces of chicken of fish, bit of slaw and some sauce. So we speak with the manager and out of the kindness of his heart he offers us free drinks for the false advertising. This place is predominantly a cocktail bar.... You can see how this goes. We order cocktails, he embarrassingly backtracks and says only house spirits or beer. So long story short.. this is not all you can eat tacos, apparently 7pm is too late to eat and if you are a backpacker your complaint...

The Cotton Club is a restaurant located in the heart of Cairns with Woolshed (one of the most populair night bars in the area) right above it. It’s a really populair spot for both locals and tourists.

Both inside and outside areas are really comfortable but I always preferred outside for some fresh air and better lighting.

The menu offers a wide variety of foods, starters and drinks. My ‘go to meal’ was the chicken parmi with fries and salad (change the fries in to sweet potato fries for only a dollar extra) but I also enjoyed every single other meal I’ve tried here over 4 months.

Some of the waiters were a bit rude from time to time (since they obviously work long hours on a working holiday visa) but the manager Jan is always nice and thoughtful of his guests. He is always around and...

Wow. That word in itself is enough to describe this place. The food is fantastic, yeah it's not a 5* restaurant but it really is amazing. The staff are brilliant, all friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive. We had lunch the other day and after sending my compliments to the chef he came from the kitchen to thank me. We went back for our dinner this evening and were amazed again, the portions are generous and again very attentive staff. We would recommend this place to everyone and if we didn't have a flight tomorrow this would be our new local. If you are in the area looking for food then definitely go here.
