"So many good things to say"..i said this a year ago...now I'm struggling to find a good thing to say...from the ever decreasing size of serves..to the hit and miss rate of expertise in the kitchen..seems like quality control has left the building..and salt into the wound..ever increasing gouging +++ .surcharge 15% + bank fees which will keep increasing bcos of the mindless tap tapping of phones to eftpos machine...i really don't know where Vanilla is headed anymore. Example...$24 burger..an open bun..squirt of mayo one side..and a horrible overly strong tasting kasoundi pulled jackfruit with a supposed slaw..which was non existent....looked unappetising and was..then a single overdry untoasted crumpet with a poached egg..smear of pesto..smear of hemp cream cheese..also $24.50... So no compliments coming now...is it a Monday B team crew thing or simply a couldn't care less attitude towards the customer...one by one 9 family members all local, in agreement..don't give vanilla any more of our money..each time 2 or 3 of us visit its now up to $90 and everyone disgruntled..we have sent more meals back that have had a cooking issue over last few months than should ever happen...and all of these issues...
Read moreI look at the low reviews of this cafe and think to myself âwhy would these idiots come out when they can make it better at homeâ or if their floor is spotless clean at home? Imagine writing in your review saying âdidnât like the white plaster on the floorâ why the hell do you leave your home?
The same silly people who know âeverything about everythingâ and yet they donât know theyâre about to walk into a community cafe that buys all their produce from small organic and biodynamic farmers - how they dont know theyâre about to walk into a lovely little cafe thatâs been around for years that takes pride in gluten free, low cholesterol, and vegan options if beyond me. Thereâs always some idiot bringing down a hospitality venue and unfortunately Vanilla Food gets a few of them by the looks.
Food is simple, delicious, organically sourced and you are served by polite young kids who grew up here. Walk into this cafe with a sense that food will be simple, delicious and sourced ethically and perhaps you wonât leave disappointed and looking like a dill when you get home and be a keyboard warrior and give a 1 or 2 star rating. Love it guys, thanks for...
Read moreVery pretty spot and a friend of our recommended. Iâve been here 3 time for coffee/matcha now and each time coffee was really bad and I had to add sugar to finish it. Iâm not picky with my coffee so this was shocking. First couple times I figured it was pressed too hard or a new person who made it, but third time I decided I will never be back. Also matcha tasted like it was poor quality and touched metal instead of made with wooden utensils, like how itâs supposed to be made traditionally. We went for food once as well and the straccitella toast had barely a teaspoon of straccitella. And I forget the other dish we order it was not memorable, I think some variation off huevos rancheros, but it had a hair in it!! When my partner called staff over to point this out, all they said was Iâm sorry and walked away without waiting for a response or barely making eye contact. Iâm so sorry to make this review because I had high hopes for this beautiful place but Iâve tried it 4 times now and itâs disappointing every time. There are many places in noosa that do a great breakfast and unfortunately this is not the place to...
