Wara Sushi — Restaurant in Queensland

I just ate here with my wife who is Japanese and we both thought the food was delicious. I would like to point out that of the 9 staff all were Asian including the dish washer. C'mon you can do better than that in this modern age. We don't need the staff to all look Asian to enjoy an Asian meal it's 2021 haha. Based on the census statistics of 2016, 1.8% of Townsville's population is South East Asian, 1.1% is South Asian and 0.4% is Chinese Asian. That's a total of 3.3%. For all 9 of your staff to be Asian works out to a 1 in 19.56 trillion chance if it's just luck and not racial profiling on your management's end. Do better...let's see a Greek or Turkish or Indian team member there next time. They can wait, make sushi and wash dishes to...

Used to go there on occasion, always was expensive but now it’s just ridiculous. Four little measly slices of sushi will set you back about 6 or even 7 bucks. If it’s your shout with a mate or your missus, make sure you walk in with you pockets loaded and expect to pay around 60-70 bucks for the both of you. I understand the leading factors of this such as the cost of living and pressure on business these days but with how busy you are all the time, I’m sure your racking in serious profit, and there was no need to increase your sushi prices so drastically. Absolutely the worse experience ever! My brother is in a wheelchair and we had been very excited to come eat. We have always been treated nicely at Fairfield. We sat outside as there was no choice due to wheelchair but we were told to use our phone. No worries however, the site is all takeaway prices ( more expensive) and you can’t order as you go and pay at the end. Staff were not helpful and they would not give us an iPad. We left and went to grilled where the service for disabled people...
