The Coffee Club Willows — Restaurant in Queensland

Placed our order at 10:45 after standing and waiting for service for about five minutes and knew that it was busy, however, one of the girls at the counter was engaged in a conversation with people who were just leaving.

We then had a seat outside and waited, our coffee order was delivered quickly and we overheard another couple say they’d been waiting for half an hour for their food.

We continued to wait for forty minutes before moving inside to an available table and asked about how long the wait for food would be. We then waited for another twenty minutes only to have our order delivered and for one meal be wrong.

My partner ate his food and we waited on a refund as we didn’t want to be waiting for another hour for a seperate meal. No apology was offered.

The quality of food remains good, as does the coffee which is why I’m saying two stars however the service leaves a lot to be desired.

I understand that busy periods mean a longer wait on food however there are ways to mitigate the wrong order being inputed into the system in the first place.

It's hard to get a table on weekends so I would suggest booking. Had brunch here and had the breaky burger but instead of relish I paid extra for hollondaise sauce . It was really tasty and filling. I ordered a dirty chai for myself which was absolutely disgusting. Undrinkable. The chai powder just tasted like straight cinnamon and not even a nice cinnamon taste. Coffee was burnt. And the extra plain cinnamon (no cinnamon sugar) just made it even more bitter. They do offer free baby chinos with any purchase which was great for my daughter who loved it. Ordered my daughter the sunny side eggs on white toast. Eggs were not runny and wouldn't class as sunny side up looks like they were cooked in an egg cooker. It's super loud inside like you have to yell to have a conversation so not the greatest atmosphere when busy. Service was ok but we didn't get spoons with our coffees or baby chino so had to ask for them. Also no cutlery/serviette with my meal. Overall not the greatest experience. Went to the coffee club castle town for breakfast, the food was stone cold when I asked for the issue to be rectified one of the lady’s quoted. “There is always an issue” we sat back down, the manager came over to our table with only half of the refund and slammed it on the table in front of all the customers dining in. 2 of the staff members got aggressive and abused us saying “you guys are now banned” the young girl working was quite embarrassed with the behaviour of the older staff members, this is the most unprofessional behaviour I have ever seen. All the customers sitting down was looking around wondering why the staff was so abusive.
